Does a miscarriage mean lots of blood? It's been years for me (thankfully) but I can't remember... i had slight bleeding earlier but thankfully has stopped for the time being...
What I'm hoping for is some stories about early bleeding but positive outcomes x

Hi, sorry to hear you are bleeding! I am 5+4 and had brown spotting when wiping from last Saturday. However today it turned red and there was quite a bit more than before and I now also have mild cramps. Had hcg bloods done today and have to get them repeated next week and gp is sending me to Epu for an early scan, however I think before then this will just get worse. How is things today?

StaceyW87 · 09/07/2020 22:03

Hi @christie08, bleeding has got progressively worse... not as much as a period but I'd say it's a miscarriage :-(
Rang midwife today and just got to wait a week and take another test and go from there x

@StaceyW87 I'm very sorry 😔I also have been bleeding quite heavy tonight and strong cramps now and I am having to use pads, so unfortunately it seems like a certain miscarriage for me also. Flowers

@StaceyW87 that's good to hear. Mines is too! Get plenty of rest and be kind to yourself, and they do seem to be more common than the statistics say. I hope you have a healthy pregnancy next time round. Take care Flowers

Hope you are both ok and sending lots of love! I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago at 7 weeks. Bleeding from 6 weeks, I had a scan at the EPU and heartbeat detected. Bleeding picked up so I returned to the EPU where they done an internal exam and although I was bleeding my cervix was closed so they said not a miscarriage. The following day i had the miscarriage and was confirmed at a following scan. I had no pain and bleeding was no where near as heavy as a normal period. We’ve decided to try again straight away as this is our second miscarriage. I know it’s hard and nothing anyone says will make it feel better but try and stay positive ladies! Your time will come Flowers

Christie08 · 10/07/2020 15:07

Aw bless you @Siobhano88 I hope you're doing OK! We are also hoping to start trying again as soon as I've recovered x

StaceyW87 · 10/07/2020 15:50

@siobhano88 sorry for your loss too :-( I'm so glad I joined this website as I don't feel alone through this. Mine hasn't been confirmed but I'm 99% sure chemical pregnancy or miscarriage. Fingers crossed for a more successful and fertile future x

Sometimes life can be very cruel. My doctor confirmed this morning more or less as my results from yesterdays hcg were only 151 so have to go back on Tuesday to make sure they come down. Bleeding has been quite heavy and cramps quite uncomfortable! Hope you are both doing OK Smile

Siobhano88 · 10/07/2020 21:32

I’m doing much better thank you. The first week was awful my emotions were so up and down and I felt like I was completely lost!

@Christie08 I’m glad you’ve decided to try again! It’s been 2 years since our first miscarriage and it took so long for us to try again! I kind of wish we had sooner now! So sorry you’re still going through this. I hope the pain and bleeding eases soon.

@StaceyW87 thanks you. this group has helped me massively with coming to terms with the miscarriage and like you it’s nice to know we’re not alone.

Hopefully we will be talking again soon but sharing happy news Smile

StaceyW87 · 11/07/2020 07:52

Sorry tmi... bleeding was really bad last night, had to change my pad at 2:30 in the morning... then woke up at 6:30 absolutely soaked through, the biggest clots ever :-(
Not in any pain though fortunately. Safe to say I'm definitely not still pregnant x

@StaceyW87 it really isn't a pleasant experience, thinking of you and just know you aren't alone. My cramps seem to have finally eased now so I'm hoping that's the worst over, still bleeding. Here if you need a chat x

Christie08 · 13/07/2020 17:20

I hope everyone is doing ok x

StaceyW87 · 13/07/2020 21:45

Doing ok thanks :-)
Back to normal- ish now. How about you? X

Unfortunately I’m still bleeding, I have the doctors tomorrow so I’ll question it then! Glad you’re doing a bit better x
