No 12 week scan letter

Hey ladies,

I am 10+3 weeks pregnant and haven’t had my scan letter yet. I should have had it last week and I’m now wondering if I should ring the midwife to ask her about it but I know things are working differently at the minute because of Covid.

When did you lot get your letters? Am I just being impatient?

I didn't get my scan letter until I waa over 12 weeks for a scan at 13+6

The dating scan can be anywhere between 11 and 14 weeks and you'll normally get at least a weeks notice.

I'd wait another week and then follow it up if you haven't heard anything by then.

With my first I never got a letter and the midwife just gave me the date at my booking in appointment?

When did you book in? Just check with your midwife incase the post is held up.

Hi, im 10w 5days i rang community midwife on friday as i hadnt heard anything and she was really shocked. When checking my name ect....the midwife i rang when i first found out i was pregnant hadnt referred me so i wasnt on the system. They then put me down for urgent referal and i still haven't heard anything. It may be worth ringing up just to check. X

Mine never arrived but I got told it at my booking appt. I would ring and ask them.

I had my booking appointment over the phone 2 weeks ago and my bloods taken for them early last week.

I will leave it until Friday and then phone if I haven't got it by then.

It took just over 2 weeks from my booking appointment to getting my letter, and my scans when I'll be almost 13 weeks. Hope you get it soon!

I'm about the same as you as far as I know. I had a phone consultation around 8 weeks and they sent out my scan letter the next week for the 17th of this month.

I was panicking too, I got my letter through and my scan isn't until 14th July when I will be 13 + 2. I was so nervous I ended up having a private scan to calm me down, that was worth it as my husband was able to be there.

Thank you ladies. My original booking was 2 weeks ago and that is when she referred me for my scan. I will give it until Friday and then ring to find out when it is

I phoned the scanning department and they hadn’t got my referral so booked me one on the phone - so glad I didn't carry on waiting haha

@JadeyG when you come out of your twelve week go to reception and ask to book your 20. That way it’s in your hands and you won’t be stressing about a letter.

Exactly and you can pick your time (mine is tomorrow and it’s really early) and get the letter printed there and then.

I never got a letter for my 12 week scan for both babies, had to ring to chase it both times and both times I'd waited 3 weeks after my booking appointment. I do always make my 20 week appointment as I leave my 12 week scan though so that saves some hassle!
