Time frame for 12 week screening results

Hi all, I had my 12 week scan yesterday and baby seemed well, measuring slightly ahead of my dates. NT was 2.15 which was higher than I had wanted and according to a calculator I found online is in the 77th percentile for the CRL of 66.3mm. I'm quite anxious now about getting 'the phonecall' once bloods come through. I've heard that they will call within 48 hours if there's a problem but I guess I'm looking for reassurance about how soon I will hear. Not sure I can spend the next two days having a heart attack every time my phone rings!

@MissHoney85 that NT measurement is still well within the normal range.
At my trust, they say 'a few days' for a phone call or a letter within 2 weeks.
I got the letter in about a week.

Thanks @sel2223. I know 2.15 is still well below the 3.5 mark but can't help worrying! I guess that will be the story of the next 30 years...

Yep, that is so true OP. I'm 35 weeks and pregnancy has been a constant worry!
I imagine the worrying just gets even worse once they are here.

They are very good at getting back to you very quickly if there is a problem. I was told if I hadn't heard anything in a week, I could relax, but in actual fact it would almost certainly be much sooner than that, within a couple of days. The letter can take two or three weeks, but I had mine within a week.
I know it's hard not to worry, but as PPs have said, your measurement was well within normal range.

I believe the rule of thumb is if its high risk you will get a phone call in a couple of working days, if low risk you will get a letter in 2 weeks. I actually phoned the screening office (number was on my paperwork) and asked them when I'd expect to find out and they actually gave me my results there and then. Worth trying that?

I believe it’s pretty standard across most areas that you’ll hear within 2-3 days by phonecall if there are any concerns. If everything comes back as low risk then the length of wait can vary quite a lot between areas I believe! My letter took nearly 3 weeks to arrive 😊

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I will be able to relax a bit by Friday. Or just find something else to worry about!
