I'm currently 23 weeks and FTM so have no idea what is normal.
2 days ago I contacted the midwives as I hadn't really felt baby for a day or so and any movements I did feel were a lot lighter. They basically told me to lay down and wait. I have felt baby since but not like I was before - before anyone says, I know its early and a pattern won't be established. I also explained I'd had some period like cramping but was kind of made to be felt like I was wasting their time as she said they don't tend to get people in until they're 24 weeks if there are concerns with movement etc. Was also told to contact the community midwife for an appointment which given the current situation is practically impossible - I've been calling every day for nearly 2 weeks to book my 25 week appointment!
The morning after I woke there was light pink when I wiped on the first wee of the day. I kind of felt baby moving around and had no other concerns but left it due to the previous call.
This morning I've woken to brown discharge in my knickers and when I wiped there was some red blood spots - not a lot, you probably wouldn't notice had you have not looked.
I'm a natural worrier, I may be worrying over something normal but I've been awake a while and usually feel baby early in the morning but nothing yet, and obviously the colour is alarming too, I just felt like I was wasting their time after the last call!
Thank you if you've got this far

You are absolutely not wasting their time - please phone again!

Maincat · 08/07/2020 07:25

Phone them and tell them about the spotting, along with the cramping. X

Phone them and tell them what you have written here regarding the spotting, cramping and changed movements.

Definitely phone again.

I called few days ago for reduced movement (23 weeks), and they wanted to see me without any other symptoms. all was fine, and they told me not to hesitate to call again if I am worried. I guess it really varies by area. I am sorry you had a tough time with the system.

Remember it's your body and if you want to go get checked out, i'd phone up and demand they listen to you.

You have a genuine concern, so i wouldn't put the phone down until they invite you in.

I was told regular patterns start around 24-weeks and that if i notice anything wrong, to phone up straight away and they will get me in for a peace of mind scan.

I hope your hospital do the same, best of luck x
