Anyone else struggling to take their vitamins? I have the seven seas all stages vitamins but have been struggling to take them as there so big (always struggled with tablets) and tend to get stuck in my throat making me sick so I bough some pregnacare gummies. Well these are worse they taste horrible and I have to try not throw up. I’ve missed my vitamins many days and feel so guilty, anyone know of anything potentially a bit smaller I could take?

Thanks in advance :)

Gummies were also worse for me. I got the ones with added ginger and took them last thing at night (with a biscuit or similar) which seemed to help Flowers

Hey! I gave up with them as constantly made me nauseous!! I now take Folic acid + vitamin D which are tiny and don't make me feel nauseous!
Do worry that not giving the best nutrients but trying to eat as best as possible!!

I have always been same with big pills it’s a nightmare
I find crushing them helps or if they are in a capsule take it apart and mix powder with water and knock back
Not sure if they can be taken like this but that’s what I do
Check with your midwife if you like

Cheap own brand folic acid and vitamin D tablets are usually tiny. It’s all you need. After 12 weeks folic acid isn’t necessary (but won’t do any harm either) and you can switch to a generic vitamin D tablet when you run out of the folic acid.

You don’t need to feel guilty. Folic acid reduces the chances of neural tube defects, it doesn’t prevent them. Skipping a dose (or a few) will make no overall difference.

I only take folic acid and vit D tablets combined. That's all they recommended until I go to my first appointment for 3 month scan.

I've got superdrug own brand (was the only one I could get with the correct dose), they are really small.

Thanks so much everyone, I feel less guilty for missing a few days now! I have my 12 week scan and midwife appointment so I’ll talk to them today and see what they suggest! Xx
