Hello. I’ve decided to book for a NIPT test given I am 39. Can anyone recommend a London based provider? Thanks x

I’m in Surrey, but my hospital use the SAFE test provided by St George’s. Not sure what the private cost would be.

great! I also got told by my gyno they basically created the NT test x

The SAFE test is around £350 privately. You can use a private midwife, you dont have to use a clinic (who will generally charge more). It was actually £5 cheaper doing it through a private midwife than doing it privately at NHS hospital where im giving birth. As far as I know you cannot get it done on the NHS for free.

Just Google for private midwifes in your area who offer NIPT. Mine came to my house to take the blood and gave me a free consultation (an hour of general pregnancy chat!) at the same time.

Another vote for the Fetal Medicine Centre, Harley Street. They do NIPT packages including either 12 or 20 week scan. They were brilliant when a minor anomaly came up in my 20 week scan and gave me another scan with a specialist at no extra cost.

I had my NIPT test with Melio in Euston, it's quite new but has a higher success rate (my BMI is quite high, so I was concerned about that.) It was really easy and my results came back sooner than expected. Also they gave me actual number chances rather than just low/increased which was really reassuring for me.

Had a SAFE nipt at The Birth Company on Harley Street. Was an incredible experience. The scan was far more detailed and thorough than any nhs scan I’ve ever had. The results were back within 7 calendar days.
