Brown discharge @ 5weeks pregnant 😢

I’v had brown discharge on my underwear and when I have wiped after using toilet I’m around 5 weeks pregnant and had a ultrasound and a physical internal examination on Friday to rule out eptopic
The sac was in the uterus which was a relief but now i have brown discharge no pain
Gp has advised me only to visit A&E If blood is heavier than a normal period and pain is severe if not just wait till my next scan which is due in 2 weeks 😢
I’m worried this maybe signs of a early miscarriage can anyone relate to this / shed some light / share similar experience
I was convinced I’m carrying twins as on Friday the clear blue test showed 3 weeks plus when Im only around 2 weeks pregnant
Maybe someone that has delivered / expecting twins can share if they had brown discharge ?

Perfectly normal. It's probably old blood from implantations.
Try to relax (easier said than done of course).

Brown blood is old. Try to not worry as it isn’t uncommon.

I had implantation bleeding very small amount a week back when it was time for my period but that wasn’t as much as this !
If Iv already had little implantation bleeding could I get more on a later date
Or maybe it’s something to do with the physical examination on Friday

I had brown discharge last week (At 6 weeks) when I wiped. I had an internal ultrasound scan a few days prior to this. When I called my midwife she said that the scan may have caused a little bleeding as the cervix is a lot more vascular during pregnancy, and that sex can cause this too. She told me because it was brown discharge that meant it was old blood, and it could of taken a few day’s to leave the body. It lasted about a day and a half altogether. It’s so hard not to worry though as you hear so many different things so I completely understand where you are coming from as I was in bits. Hope all turns out okay for you xx

Just so worried but thanks for sharing your experience it helps especially as I haven’t told anyone about the pregnancy itself so no one to really chat to in person

I had this too OP, I was terrified that something was wrong. My baby is 16 in 3 weeks. Wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy.
