Pregnancy heartbeat

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and went for an early scan today. They couldn’t find a heartbeat yet and said to come back in 2 weeks to have a re scan when I’m further on in my pregnancy. Has anybody had this situation where they hadn’t had a heart beat at this point in pregnancy and should I be worried? Thanks x

I had a scan just over a week ago (bang on 6 weeks) and they saw the sac and yolk but no heartbeat (they did a transvaginal scan). Went back bang on 7 weeks and you could see the little heartbeat. Don't get down or worried, it's still early

Still really early, commonly not checked until later on as it can be difficult to detect then causes you to worry. So try not to worry to much, it's quite normal.

Yep, went at 6 weeks and they could see the sac but no heartbeat, we went back a week and a bit later and it was there and my baby is now 9 months so try not to worry too much, 6 weeks is very early!

This is the reason I don't think they should do early scans unless there is a medical purpose....I've seen so many similar posts on MN saying the exact same thing.
Some people are lucky and see a heartbeat at 6 weeks but many don't and it causes so much anxiety.

Yeah it was for a medical reason unfortunately I had slight pink bleeding. It wasn’t as much as a heavy period but more then spotting. Had period like pains the whole way through pregnancy also. I know what you mean though it does get you really stressed when they tell you that! x

I'm in the same boat right now, my next scan is Tuesday. How did everything turn out? I've had random very light spotting so I'm very worried but I always hear 6 weeks it can still show up
