Potential preeclampsia???

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had shortness of breath, pain in right side near ribs and past few days a headache. My blood pressure has always been normal never been high. Had trace of protein on urine last midwife appointment. I’m 30 weeks 31 weeks Friday. I’ve rung the day care they said because I don’t have swelling I doubt it but I can go in for a test. Any suggestions? Or has anyone had these symptoms just so worried

Hi Franny. Could have written your post! I've had a headache since Wednesday, heartburn-like pain in my ribs/sternum area since yesterday and have been short of breath at times. I spoke to a midwife yesterday who said that looking at my history, my blood pressure has always been fine so probably nothing but advised I pop into Maternity Triage anyway for a quick check. BP was normal, but protein in my urine - they ended up running bloods, putting me on a monitor for baby and I was there for 3 hours in the end! I had to see a doctor, who isn't ruling out pre-eclampsia and said that in early stages symptoms can be a little murky, so at this point it could be nothing or could be the start of something. I've got a midwife appointment on Tuesday anyway, where they will recheck urine and BP - and they've advised to keep a close eye on it going forward.

I've still got the headache today, feel pretty rubbish and am not really any wiser as to whether it's something or nothing! But was worth getting checked.

Completely forgot to add that I'm 31 weeks 😂

@mrs87 how bloody strange we have the exact symptoms!!! I've had quite bad heartburn too over past few days. Don't really know what to do! I might go up the hospital tomorrow to get checked out but worried about either outcome! I've googled it about 1000000 times! X
