I'm 39+6 today, and so hoping baby might make an appearance soon.

I know this question probably gets asked every day. But did you feel different the day you went into labour. were there any signs, apart from pain.

Tis a cliche, I know but I found myself scrubbing the kitchen sink like a demon. My friend came over and said 'You're going to have that baby today'. When I said I didn't think so, she replied that she could see the stainless steel coming off.

I felt normal up until the point my waters broke as i sat down to watch This Morning. Then i just felt very inconvenienced!!

Pretty normal on the day.

The night before I had a weird trip-like experience (I think - too square to have ever taken drugs). I was in a shop with one wall painted purple, which suddenly appeared to glow at me in a strange but pleasant way. The music in the shop seemed like the most amazing tunes ever (luckily it was the Beatles - could easily have been the Cheeky Girls and I think I'd have felt the same). I felt backachy but blissed out. As we left the shop some bellringers were practising nearby and I felt like I could have flown home. Truly amazing.

I woke up the following day feeling perfectly normal! Went and had coffee in the same shop and it was just a purple wall again. Had a sweep at 3pm and ds was born before midnight

Best wishes!

Full of energy. The only day I felt like trying to clean up the house in preparation for the arrival. Did not get very far with it. Bent down to pick up something and the waters broke.

I didn't feel overly tired but I couldn't get comfy all day.
Just didn't feel quite 'right' IYSWIM.
Oh, and my feet became swollen for the first time. (But I was only 35 weeks so I didn't know I was in labour until much later.)

Full of energy... got out of bed after a particularly good night's sleep, bounced down the stairs and my waters broke. I sat calmly eating cornflakes and waiting for my lift to hospital.

Second time I woke at 1am thinking I was gonna have the shits really bad due to cramp in tummy. Had been having a vivid dream about eating curry. DS was born later that afternoon.
