Prenatal exercise classes

Hi there

Currently 22 weeks. I’ve tried several different prenatal yoga and Pilates classes but have not left them feeling like I’ve properly had a good work out. Being pregnant, I’m not allowed to join the general classes (understandably). The prenatal ones I’ve attended have a lot of concentration on breathing and generally the attendees are in third trimester and have much bigger bumps. I do enjoy them but I’m not at that stage yet. Feeling like there’s a gap out there and there’s not much on offer for second trimester women with a good base level of fitness who want to do safe strength based training.

I’ve already tried several different places and it’s not cheap to do so. Rather than spend any more money on a punt, do any of you lovely ladies have any recommendations for online exercise classes that you’ve enjoyed in second trimester and have left you feeling challenged and invigorated?

Thanks so much for any advice in advance!

Following as I feel the same about prenatal workouts. I’m thinking I might just read up on what should be avoided and do normal routines (I like Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube) and just change the pose when it’s something I know I shouldn’t do.

Try Studio Bloom - their workouts are killer!

I like the Mumhood Online ones - paid about £60 for a year’s access but they include post natal ones as well and I find them very challenging - certainly not all about breathing!

I enjoyed doing the Nourishmovelove YouTube classes. She has a few pre natal ones and they are actually hard work.
I was getting annoyed with all the other ones they kept stopping for breaks and were really easy! I wanted ones that would push you and these ones do 🙂

Thanks everyone for responses!! Really appreciate.

@Nowisthemonthofmaying I'll give them a go... looks quite interesting.
