Ovarian Cyst- 6CM!

Hi,
I had an early scan today and the sonographer found a 6cm cyst on my left ovary.

Has anyone else had a large ovarian cyst?
Did they remove it or anything?

I can't believe how big it is!
6 times the size of my baby right now!

Hi there! When I got my 20 week scan the sonographer spotted that I had a 7cm cyst near to my right ovary, she panicked me a bit and it kind of took away from the excitement of the scan! Anyway, I was referred to see a consultant and I saw her on Thursday last week - she wasn’t concerned at all! I’m due in November and she said they will just scan me in around January to see if it has grown, stayed the same or disappeared. Unless I experience any pain at all from it during the rest of my pregnancy then it’s nothing to be concerned about. I also remain in the low risk group for giving birth.

That is definitely very reassuring!
I am only 8 weeks so I'm a bit worried it will grow alot more by the time I'm due. But I will continue to be positive and hope for a complication free pregnancy.

So far I have been told I'm a low risk pregnancy so fingers crossed!

How do you feel being 20 weeks? Half way there! So exciting!

@EssJayyCee please don’t worry about it, before I had my appointment with the consultant I was reading about it and a lot of cysts can disappear by the second trimester. My sister in law had one when she was pregnant and it just disappeared as baby grew. Have you been referred to see anyone about it or will they just check it again at your next scan?

I’m feeling really good so far thank you, I’m 23 weeks today so only 17 weeks to go! We’re having a girl

This is our first baby and I feel like time is going so slowly now! I’m enjoying being pregnant but desperate to meet our baby girl.
