Miscarriage

I am 6 weeks pregnant (based on last period); a few days ago I started bleeding (spotting) with some cramps and went to hospital; they sent me home and said to just wait a week and do another pregnancy test and if it was positive everything was fine.

So after coming home the cramps got worse (although still very mild, less than period cramps); some more bleeding (no more than a tablespoon, some clotting).

The cramps and bleeding then stopped; so I thought maybe false alarm and done a test...negative.

Is it possible there’s still more to come or can a miscarriage pass with so little bleeding? I’m so confused, the hospital won’t see me now until at least Thursday as I was to wait a week but I’m scared to go a where in case I start bleeding heavily; scared to be home alone in case anything happens to me and I don’t know what to think about this pregnancy. I think deep down I know it’s over but I’m stuck in limbo.

How awful for you...
I would recommend seeing your GP and seeing if they can refer to to EPU.
Thinking of you, the unknown is horrendous x

Unfortunately it was EPAS ( which I assume is same as EPU) who told me to ‘wait and see’.

To be honest I think I know deep down but almost living in limbo until it is actually confirmed due to lack of clear symptoms x

Oh no sorry, crossed wires.

@MissLM84 oh no! I’m so sorry!! I’m such an idiot! So sorry!!!! Did you end up going to EPU or now that you’ve had two negative tests there is no need? I hope you will heal as soon as feasible and that you can move on in good time! Xxx

Whilst I have a surgery booked on Tuesday I’m hoping that by then it might have passed naturally but as you said in your OP, I’m bleeding but not sure whether it can pass with little bit of bleeding....

MissLM84 · 08/07/2020 11:13

Hi,

No need to apologise at all!

EPU would see me and said the negative tests confirmed. I did do another post about my experience with them as it was pretty horrible tbh.

I am getting there, just with it being a bit of a ‘non event’ in terms of bleeding and pain it’s been hard to process if that makes sense x

I do hope everything with you goes ok! And I’m sorry for your loss x

@MissLM84 thank you! Same to you! It’s just such a horrible experience! Also sorry to hear about your bad experience with EPU! That’s awful! They should be much better at this. Sending lots of positive vibes your way xxx
