FTM and totally confused! I’m looking at the chicco next2me cribs, but I don’t understand the difference in them. There’s the chick to chick, magic side, dream crib etc. Can anyone explain the difference? I can see that some of them have the mesh on both sides but which one is best?

TIA

Magic - has a button to slide the side up or down

Dream - has a button to bend the side up or down

I think the rest of them have zipped sides including chick to chick.
The names are also for the colour or design on the fabric.
I think they differ in sizes as well but only a few cm difference.

If you haven’t already looked I had a tutti bambini and it was really great, works as a travel cot too - might be worth a look not sure how it compares price wise!

@Peachy200 ahh that makes so much more sense!! Thank you so much!

@Teacaketotty ooh haven’t heard of them! Will have a look now. Thank you!

I've copied this from another post I've just commented on but I'm not sure if this will help you!

We have the Tutti Bambini CoZee AIR Bedside Crib - I've literally just put this up (hence the wires in the bed!) but I'm impressed.

The cot can be set to 6 height levels so it can be level with your mattress, and can also be tethered to your bed for safety. It comes with rocking feet (I've kept the normal ones on) or optional casters (haven't bothered with them but I'm going to try them later) and has a handy shelf under it. And the side comes all the way down / I noticed in the shops not all of them did that!

Baby isn't due for a few weeks but I just wanted it up - took literally 5 minutes.

It also folds away flat into a travel bag, it's about as thick a those cheap £10 pasting tables from B&Q but not as big.

I had one of these and when the side is down, it MUST be attached to the bed.

Sorry I read that and it made tether sound like an option. A baby died in one with their head over the side, but that baby was laid face down

Babyshine2020 · 04/07/2020 20:21

@SaladSauce thank you for that, I genuinely didn't know if it was an option or not. I've always intended to tether it, I just haven't done it yet as baby isn't here and our bed has an issue and we're waiting for the repair man so it'll only need to be moved.

Starburst12 · 04/07/2020 22:22

@Babyshine2020 @saladsauce thank you both so much! I’m really nervous about things like that happening (always think of the worst) so the bed attachments is definitely worth using! The only thing I’m concerned about is that my bed is very high, I have to climb into bed 😬 so I’ll measure it tomorrow and see what’s what. I love how easy it is to travel with though! As we have family all over the UK so that’s a great bonus.
