I am 12 weeks pregnant and just so so itchy everywhere! Mainly my arms and legs.
Haven't changed soaps or washing stuff so I'm completely stumped.
Anyone have the same? What causes it?!
Thanks in advance :)

You need to speak to your midwife ASAP, this can be a sign of a problem with your liver, obstetric cholestasis

Talk to your midwife. Could be obstetric cholestasis. I'm not medically qualified but talk to someone who is

it wont be icp at 12 weeks. Much more likely to be hormonal. Speak to your gp

You need to mention this to your MW as a matter of priority

There is a condition called obstetric cholestasis, which would mean you need enhanced monitoring. It is characterised by itching, and can happen at any stage of pregnancy. But it is very rare before about 28 weeks, so chances are it's something else and just one of the weird but harmless things your body can decide to during pregnancy

It might be something called PUPPS which is bloody horrible. I had that in my first pregnancy and was going nutty with the itching, scraping myself raw. Hopefully that’s not it! But you can get creams to help and calamine was good - I ended up pouring it into a spray bottle and spraying myself rather than dabbing it on, it was quicker!
