Hi ladies,
I gave birth to twins by c section 7 weeks and 5 days ago.
I had unprotected sex with my partner 2 weeks and 2 days ago.
Over the last 3 days I've felt quite sick and had a heavy feeling around my uterus.
I took a test at dinner time today and had a very faint second line barely visible. You have to really look to see it it's so faint but definitely there.
I was just wondering what people think about it possibly being an early positive.
Thank you for any advice ladies x

Just thought I'd add my partner did pull out before he finished x

Could well be positive. Apparently you're incredibly fertile after you've given birth and unfortunately the withdrawal method isn't 100% effective.

I'd say try another test with FMU tomorrow to be sure x

You had unprotected sex and a faint line on a pregnancy test - sounds likely to me.

Leave it a few days and test again, see if the line progresses.

The first time I met my midwife her first topic was contraception as fertility is high after pregnant. It is very common for people to go to their six week check and be told they are expecting. How are you feeling?

You can have HCG in your system for up to 6 weeks after giving birth. My husband is a GO and he says he has seen several false positives within six weeks of birth and he thinks it could take longer for HCG to disappear with twins. I’m afraid you won’t be able to know for sure for another couple of weeks. Even a scan wouldn’t confirm anything at this stage.

I don’t think it really matters if he pulled out or not, a good proportion of the male population have live sperm in their pre-ejaculate so the pullout method is not reliable. I would wait a few days and do another test but it’s very unlikely to be left over hormones from your recent pregnancy at this stage.

Thank you ladies I'll take another test on Monday.
Other then feeling a bit sicky and the heavy feeling I feel perfectly fine x
