4th c section and fibroids

Hello
I’ve just had a mmc at 8 /9 weeks. It would have been my 4th dc (youngest currently 6yrs). I’ve had c sections with all 3 of them (1st was emergency, other two were planned..).
Obviously this one would have had to have been a c section. I know the risks of a 4th c section are there, but not significant compared with a 3rd or even a 2nd.
However, on one of the many scans I’ve recently had, a fibroid was picked up (I’ve never been diagnosed with fibroids, in fact, I didn’t even know what they were!) The fibroid is covering the previous scars. One consultant said I could have as many children as I want, the other said he would advise no more and if I had to then I should have the fibroid removed prior to getting pregnant...But that would necessitate a procedure that could weaken the uterus more?
Does anyone have any prior experience of fibroids and previous c sections?

Hi OP. Like you, I've had 3 c sections. And I'm pregnant with my 4th! I have fibroids....I was told this 20 years ago. But nobody has ever mentioned them as a concern regarding my c sections at all. At the last c section, the consultant said they advised no more pregnancies ....I was worried when I became pregnant unexpectedly, because of this. However, my midwife said this is a kind of generic thing they say after 3 sections and not to worry. She said there was nothing in my notes that suggested a particular problem. I font know much about the fibroids, but if nobody has brought them up during my previous sections etc, perhaps they are not a problem. I don't know anything about fibroids in scar tissue, but didn't want to read and run as our situations are very similar otherwise.

Ah thanks for replying! It’s reassuring re: what the midwife said to you, and that you have fibroids!
I just don’t know how to go about asking anybody what to do with the fibroid scar tissue thing! Especially when they all have different opinions and they aren’t really advising me officially - it was more of a casual conversation at the EPU when they were looking at the miscarriage stuff. Hmm.
Or maybe I should just go ahead and get pregnant assuming they’ll get baby out somehow! Like you I wasnt planning a 4th at all, but it happened and now I really want one!
Anyway thanks, congrats and good luck with it all!
