2 days ago I experienced some bleeding upon wiping, my bump has been in a lot of pain too. Of course I went to A&E and then to maternity triage as I work in a different town. It was so stressful and scary as my husband couldn't be with me either but baby's heartbeat was there and they also checked my cervix and it was closed. I am grateful everything seems okay but now I feel constantly worried that something may go wrong over the next few days.. I just can't imagine what I'd do if something were to happen. I just want baby to be okay and eventually be in my arms. They said it can happen due to all the growing and stretching but I've not had any blood since this pregnancy started and the pain especially when getting in and out of bed is the worse. They just advised me to take paracetamol and cocodamol and go back if I experience any bleeding again. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I can't help you as I've never had this but I Didn't want to read and run OP!
I'd get yourself some bed rest for the next few days. Keep things low key and as little stress as possible.
Sounds like you're on the mend if you've stopped bleeding and it doesn't matter what anyone says you'll be worried now for a while to come.
Hopefully once you have your 20 week scan and they give you the all clear you may be able to relax a little more!
All the best OP 💐

@lockdownpregnancy thank you for replying.. I didn't get any bed rest unfortunately. I went to work and my bump still hurts. I kind of feel alone in this as the doctors didn't give any advice really about resting. I was silly and should have asked about working.. I just had too much on my mind.. do you think it's worth ringing maternity triage and asking them if I should be taking it easy or go to work? I would need a valid reason and to be honest my sickness record at work is atrocious just due to extremely unfortunate circumstances. My work is quite strenuous as in I need to do a lot of computer work and walking around. I work in a laboratory.

At the end of the day you're pregnant and if you need to rest then they can't really give you shit for it.
I would really rest up if it were me. Take the week to totally relax and put your feet up.
Just a gentle walk a day so you don't seize up and that's it.
That's what I would do anyway.
