So I found out I was pregnant last Monday. Just re tested, and this is how the test appeared. The control line appeared first, but is clearly quite faint. Just wondering if need to be worried cause it's the opposite way round.

Around 16dpo.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm not sure! I've read that it could be the test line drawing dye from the control line if your hcg levels are very high (likely over 100mIu/ml), but only from forums, I've not located any actual data on this. The other possibility is either an old test, or defective test, I know no control line can indicate faulty test. Sorry, not very helpful. Maybe try another test to see.

I had about 4 of these kinds of positives at 5-6 weeks pregnant. Believe it is the dye being drawn away from the other line.

Thankyou both for your replies!
That's the only kind of info I have found too @Threnody but again nothing to back it 🤷🏻‍♀️

@erised24 I have read it's because of the hcg levels really high, but wouldn't have expected them to be that high yet as I'm only 4+3! 🙈 who knows!xx

That's what you call a "dye stealer"

Such a strong positive that it draws dye away from the control line. It's a very good sign.

Congratulations.

@MarshmallowsOnToast oh so it is actually a thing? If so I'm really pleased it's so strong, just means I can't see anymore increase in them every other day.. to ease my anxiety 🤦🏻‍♀️x
