Forgive me if I'm being abit dense...
I'm now 19weeks pregnant and I've noticed since about 14weeks I've been leaking milk/colostrum.
I don't ever remember this happening with my first 2.
When I wake up my nipples are crusty (sorry tmi) and throughout the day wet. Has this happened with anyone else?

I've felt baby moving/kicking from 13 weeks so maybe this pregnancy everything is just happening earlier 🤷🏼‍♀️
Thankyou xxx

I think I could single handedly run a dairy farm at this rate haha. Do you eat a lot of oats? When I have porridge for breakfast or flapjacks etc I notice a huge increase!

@LizzyAnna99 how far gone are you?
I don't eat excessive amounts but probably 3 times a week

I think with DD1 I started noticing occasionally crusty bits around 18-20 weeks, and I got yellow liquid sometimes when I had a bath or if I squeezed them a bit. I wasn’t properly leaky till about 30 weeks I think, but from them on I had to be careful around other people’s babies - one cry and I’d start leaking! I also found myself dreaming of babies and then waking up dripping.... I had to shut our cat out of the bedroom because he kept trying to investigate!

This pregnancy I rather weirdly had some milk right at the beginning - literally at 11dpo (which in combination with suddenly nearly throwing up at the smell of some slightly sour milk made me take a test!), but then I haven’t had any more since (now 18 weeks). I’ve heard from other mums that it can vary a lot from pregnancy to pregnancy, so I just assume it’s normal.

I've had clear liquid since about 20 weeks - just a few drops at a time usually, but enough that it will leak through my shirt if I'm not wearing a bra. Can't spot much of a pattern, but until recently it was most often when I was still lying in bed in the morning, cuddling with husband, which made me wonder if it was linked to the happy brain chemicals that would have been generating.

@LRHRN I’m over 37 weeks now but it’s been going on since about 22 weeks, and this is my first child! :)

Thanks for the replies xx
@crazychemist you must be due around the same time as me then 😊 I'm having a little girl due 28th Nov.
@WeeScottishWife that makes perfect sense that it's happy hormones xx
@LizzyAnna99 oh wow not long now then, wishing you all the best ❤️

@LRHRN, mine will be earlier - my original EDD was very similar to yours, but I’m expecting twins that share a placenta, so it will have to be at least a month earlier for safety. Probably a good thing as I look about 6/7 months pregnant now, I’m not very tall so I think I’d fall over if I got to full term with twins!!!

LRHRN · 03/07/2020 10:30

@crazychemist aww twins that's amazing and scary 😂
Yeah they can't leave you full term then.
Bless you, I hope everything goes smoothly for you ❤️
