Hi looking for similar experiences please!! At 20 week scan my placenta was right next to my cervix opening so was told to come back at 32.. I have went back and been told it is 1cm away and is classed as placenta previa if under 3cm away (posterior) from opening, this was by the sonographer she said if it doesn't move it will be a c section...I have had a scan arranged for 35+5 to check... anyway while at the midwife today I asked her what chance there is that it will move?! She said no way a postier placenta would move now but then She said 1cm is not an issue at all and I can have a natural birth! I'm so bloody confused and have 24 days to wait for the scan.. how can I be told completely different things! Unreal... just feel like I need to know what the heck is right for peace of mind and to not make myself sick!! This is NHS Scotland if that makes a difference. Thank you...

I was told it's unlikely to move mines completely covering though, however if it did it would need to be 2cm away at least.
Midwife told me to prepare for bleeding and hospital trips up until delivery which is likely to be a section.
My next scan is likely to have to be a internal to see exactly where it is.... I'm unsure why I mean if its completely covering surely that's sufficient??

Baby is breech at the moment I'm 29 weeks and have another scan in 2 weeks to see... Also measuring amniotic fluid at higher end of normal 9.3 normal is between 2/10.... I'm not sure if this has anything to do with placenta or just this whole pregnancy being a little more different to my others x

Its just so confusing!! I would have just liked consistent info!! They said 2cm for antierior and 3cm for posterior not sure why is diffrent!! Yes the 32 week was an internal scan and was told my 35 week will be too.. our little fella is heads down where he has been for the whole pregnancy pretty much lol..

Out of curiosity have you bled at all?

KLM19 · 02/07/2020 11:00

No, not at all.. I'm 33 weeks this weekend. I've been taking it super easy!! Only been possible due to lockdown Thankfully.

That's good to hear, I've literally been waiting for it to happen Confused so hopefully will get through without!!

KLM19 · 02/07/2020 12:50

Yes I've been told that from this point now its likely as things start to thin out.. fingers crossed it is possible not too Grin

My fluid is measuring big too - they checked as my bump was big at 28 weeks and also checked the placenta which was still fully covering- another scan at 32 weeks to see if it's moved. They didn't say it was related but maybe it is?

I've wondered this? If it's the position that makes it like this.... I definitely feel heavy as if I was about to give birth 😳 I hate to think what another 11 weeks will be!!

KLM19 · 02/07/2020 17:06

I wonder if I'm the same! I'm mesuring 2 weeks ahead but baby is 50th percentile 4lb 4. So must be all water but they have never mentioned it to me at all...
