Piercing pain

Hi all,

FTM here, I'm just looking for some advice really. Over the last week I have been experiencing a sharp piercing pain in my rib (currently left side). I assume the baby has found space to dig either a foot or an arm in.

However, it has been causing extreme discomfort are there any way I can prevent this from occurring? Or a way to encourage movement away from my ribs? Or should I seek advice from my midwife?

Due to this pain I struggle to sleep, I find it difficult to walk distances and find myself short of breath quite easily. I'm unsure what I should do.

DS1 used to wedge one of his feet under my ribs in late pregnancy, it hurt!

If I were you I'd have a chat to your midwife for reassurance.
