What to get for downstairs?

Hey you guys, I hope you are all safe and well

I am avout 29 weeks and starting to itch about buying stuff. However we don't have a huge budget so I have to be mindful

I was wondering what sort of thing did you have downstairs for baby to sleep in? I am obviously getting a cot for upstairs but are those swings suitable for baby to nap in throughout the day? My sister and partner are suggesting a travel cot for downstairs but I don't necessarily want a big travel cot in the middle of the living room.
I am just not 100%sure on the swings as I keep hearing that babies hate them.
The other option is maybe a sleepyhead? (I know about their safety issues, so baby will be supervised at all times)

What has worked for you? Xx

I’ve just set up the the Chicco 4 in 1 and I wondered if you could answer a question I have?

The leaflet says to remove all the harness straps when using it as a crib, if you do this then am I right in thinking you would have to take the baby out of it, put all the straps back before using it as a recliner? Or can you recline them safely without using the harness?

I liked the idea of the baby sitting up and then just being able to put it into crib mode when they fall asleep, is this possible or would you always have to add/ remove straps when changing positions?

OP sorry for asking this on your post! X

I’m using the Scottish baby box downstairs but when he’s too big I’ll just use the carrycot attachment or something? Also I didn’t start buying until 29 weeks and I was able to get absolutely everything for £700. And I mean everything including a cotbed, drawers, cloth nappies, etc etc. Keep an eye out on fb marketplace!
