Thank you 🙏🏼

@123Phi yea good idea, I wouldn't want to be on my own completely, we've had the horrible 12 week scan news before and I couldn't of gotten through that this time without hubby, so we were very happy to have good news, I'm sure everything will be fine for you and you can show him the pics when you get in the car :) yea gald to be in the 2nd trimester now :)

Onekidnoclue · 06/07/2020 20:52

@Annu786 I had a bit of bleeding just after the internal then much more a few days later. I don’t think two bleed means twins. If it was twins I would have expected them to see two sacs on your scan. I lost a twin in this pregnancy and the bleeding was a lot of bright red blood. On the scan to check it was pretty obvious that there was one sac with a baby and one half sac which was empty. X

@Annu786 for what it’s worth when I lost the twin the blood was bright red and there was a lot, about a mug full all in one go. When I had a bleed with DS (where it was all ok) it was over a few days and ‘gooopy’ period like blood, a lot of which was brown. Sorry if that’s TMI! I always feel like the ‘a bit of spotting’ or ‘bleeding a bit’ was annoyingly vague!

Sorry for your loss 😢😢
I was way too early for the scan less than 3 weeks hence why they only barely picked up a sac they have called me back in couple weeks as they couldn’t even see the yolk sac

Only reason I was swaying towards twin was we have them in family On my side
And when I tested with the clear blue pregnancy test on Friday it predicted 3+ weeks When I’m less than 3 weeks
I read somewhere high levels of hcg are detected in twins meaning it would should I’m more weeks
I may totally be wrong

Hi can I join please? Am 11+5 and due 21/01 - day before my bday! I am 37 and have DD 2.5 yo who we had traumatic birth and quite a few health complications with. I am still damaged from labour so bit nervous about this pregnancy and delivery. Luckily she is healthy and happy now though :)

footprintsintheslow · 07/07/2020 07:28

Welcome to @Annu786 and @lydiangel83

lydiangel83 · 07/07/2020 07:32

@Annu786 we also have history of twins so I had a scan at 8 wks to check only one baby in there! I wanted twins the first time round but not the second!

lydiangel83 · 07/07/2020 07:36

Just reading about induction earlier in thread, I was induced and didn't need to be and it really wasn't a lot of fun! Was in agony, no time for pain relief as was fully dilated by the time they checked me, and then forceps delivery cumulative in broken coccyx for me! But I understand I am a rare case and I have friends that took a lot longer. But personally I will not be being induced again!

sophiemarie2020 · 07/07/2020 07:42

Aww this thread has really made me emotional as I had my baby girl 11/1/20 and this time last year I was in a thread with some ladies the exact same as this and we are all still talking now, wish everyone the best of luck with this magical journey 💗

Tink2020 · 07/07/2020 08:59

Got my private scan tomorrow, should be exactly 11 weeks. My anxiety is kicking in big time... didn’t sleep well at all last night. My teeny bump is getting harder and sitting very low. Not disappearing when I lie down. Feeling quite crazy talking to it all day 🤣

Onekidnoclue · 07/07/2020 09:17

@lydiangel83 hi. How come you were induced? Did you have the drip and or pessary? I’m really unsure about induction, it’s ages away for me but with DS I had such a long labour it was three nights with no sleep before he was born and I think it was a big trigger for pp psychosis which I want to avoid if at all possible this time.

@sophiemarie2020 aw that’s lovely to hear! Glad all went well for you! Hopefully this time next year we will all be in the same position offering reassurance to the next batch of Jan 2022 babies! Grin

@Tink2020 I have my 12wk NHS scan tomorrow and am veering between excitement and feeling terrified! I had bad dreams last night and woke about 4am and couldn’t sleep for ages. No private scans etc so this will be the first chance to see how everything is going. Hubby will be waiting just outside in the car but bit crap I have to go in alone. Just hoping it’s all ok! What time is yours? Will think of you! Mine is thankfully quite early on - 9.55am.

Tink2020 · 07/07/2020 09:35

@SnookyPook it isn’t until 5:05 as my partner is working. We booked it last week as he really wants to be at the first scan to be there and support me if needed. My nhs scan isn’t until the 21st when I will be nearly 13 weeks x

Sazzy312 · 07/07/2020 10:39

Hey, good luck to everyone having their scans this week, we are finally seeing the inlaws today so can share our baby photos :) is anyone else near 14 weeks? And how are you feeling? I'm thankfully not so sick and feeling the odd round ligament pain

SnookyPook · 07/07/2020 11:36

@Sazzy312 thanks! Aw that’ll be lovely to be able to share pics with them. Glad you’re feeling a bit better - into the 2nd trimester! All feeling a bit more real! I will be 12wks on Thursday so bit behind you. Also suspect that at the scan I may go back a few days as my cycle is normally longer than 28days and fairly sure I ovulated around day 19. Reckon they’ll measure me closer to 11+3. Will find out soon enough! Grin eek!

footprintsintheslow · 07/07/2020 11:57

@SnookyPook good luck at the scan. I had my 12 week scan last week and I was there 2.5 hours. So pack a snack for you and your partner.

@Sazzy312 I'm 13+3 and I feel a lot better. Still waves of nausea but they are less common and shorter. I have more energy and am being far more productive now

Lauraha85 · 07/07/2020 11:58

Just had scan - baby was in there bouncing away , I got myself a wriggle bum no wonder I am so sick ha ha xx

SnookyPook · 07/07/2020 12:03

@footprintsintheslow ah thanks for the tip!! Will pack snacks Smile

@Lauraha85 aw lovely! Congrats!!

Lauraha85 · 07/07/2020 12:05

@SnookyPook Thank you 😊

SnookyPook · 07/07/2020 12:45

Just rang my antenatal clinic - they are now letting partners attend 20wk scans but not the 12wk... seems so arbitrary. If they can allow it for some, why not all?! Oh well... going to have to be brave and go alone. My hubby says he’s ok about it but I’d be a bit gutted if it was me.

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 12:57

Hello momies to be
I had a call from the doctor and the swabs I had taken on Friday show I have a vaginal thrush ... but I have no symptoms
Could this be down to the brown discharge I seen yesterday ?
Anyone on here have anything similar happen early pregnancy
I’m only 5 weeks today
Thanks in advance for any replies

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 13:02

Partners can’t attend a scan I think it’s disgusting !!!

I had to go for an early scan Friday to rule out eptopic and was told to attend alone under the pandemic... this is all new to me as I’m only 5 weeks
There was a lady in room next to me miscarrying and she was alone, how cruel is that ! Something needs to change

Sazzy312 · 07/07/2020 13:31

@footprintsintheslow, I'm enjoying the more energy, can't wait for the 20 week scan now, next mile stone Smile

Lauraha85 · 07/07/2020 13:35

@SnookyPook that's shit , my partner was allowed to come in with me
