@Dia12 That was harsh of the Sonographer... I would have burst into tears

PopsicleHustler · 06/07/2020 12:25

@dia12 great , what a wonderful sonographer ! Not!

PopsicleHustler · 06/07/2020 12:27

Inductions are just so long winded in my experience
For others , it worked quicker for them. I'd hate to be induced again. This time around I am gonna stay at home as long as possible. And then go in to avoid being told to go home three times in a row!!!!

Sazzy312 · 06/07/2020 12:40

@Dia12 I just read what your sonographer said! That's so mean and not very professional, I am very mad about the whole thing with regards to partners not being allowed, luckily at our hospital my husband could come to the 12 week scan but that is it, it just makes me mad that people are gathering in group outside the pubs and beaches yet the farther of a baby is not allowed to attend the scan even if in ppe, anyway rant over sorry, I'm glad baby was alright and measuring right 😊 all the best for the blood results

SnookyPook · 06/07/2020 12:54

@Dia12 yay! Glad all is looking good! Cannot believe the sonographer! You think they’d have a little compassion given that our partners are missing it all!!

123Phi · 06/07/2020 13:43

@Sazzy312 I completely agree. I have friends all meeting up and pushing the rules, and I'm desperate to tell them why I'm finding it frustrating. I went on the hospital facebook page and people had posted asking about having partners at scans, and I didn't even dare join in as it would blow my cover

Sazzy312 · 06/07/2020 13:58

@123Phi aw how many weeks are you now? Its all a nightmare I just hope we don't have another peak at winter then our partners can't be there during labour, I've felt quite isolated this pregnancy but also felt the roughest so I wouldn't of gone out even if i could lol, I know every hospital is different and I do need to ask at mine what is the procedure nearer the time with regards to labour and partners.

123Phi · 06/07/2020 14:05

@Sazzy312 I'm 12 weeks today - scan on Wednesday. How about you? Mine's not been too bad so far (bar the nausea), but I'm definitely showing, and now with rules lifting I'm making excuses to just stay in and not see people. People will start to think I've enjoyed this isolation lol! I've heard rumours that the second wave is predicted for October time, I'm just SO hoping the same as you!!

Sazzy312 · 06/07/2020 14:36

@123Phi aw good luck for Wednesday, can you go to the scan with someone? Im 14 weeks finally starting to feel like my old self just with a belly haha, I've told a handful of people now and just said I don't feel like going out, (I've got a hemorrhage) which has made this pregnancy tough and not been able to do much, I'm hoping by the 20 week scan the bleed would have reduced or gone

123Phi · 06/07/2020 15:14

@Sazzy312 Thank you!! No I don't think so, I think I'll make him sit in the car though, as I'm SO anxious and so if it's bad news I don't need to drive home alone.
Oh gosh I'm sorry to hear that!! - I think I read about it in a previous post of yours actually when I was lurking on the thread. Hopefully you're over the worst of it now especially if you're feeling more like yourself again

Onekidnoclue · 06/07/2020 16:22

@Sazzy312 glad you’re feeling better and starting to feel human.

@123Phi I love the ‘blow my cover’! It made me laugh but I know what you mean. It’s like having a shit secret identity.

My scan has been brought forward from Thursday to tomorrow - currently having panic galore 🙃 don't think I will be sleeping tonight ahhhhh

Onekidnoclue · 06/07/2020 18:20

@Lauraha85 what time? I’m so jealous. Have Harmony scan on Wednesday and nhs one Thursday. Can’t wait. Won’t trust the Harmony one (only wanted the blood test but had to have a scan).

@Onekidnoclue - 11.20 - I know I was shocked when they called and said we can get you on tomorrow - im so bloody nervous. Let us know how its goes on Wednesday - unless you would prefer to wait for the Thursday one 😀

Onekidnoclue · 06/07/2020 18:55

I’m excited to see if there’s a baby there on Wednesday but the place seems a bit dodgy so I wouldn’t trust them if they said it was all ok!! I want them to take blood and ping it off to a lab so I know for sure about downs and the other screening conditions but they have to scan for dating before they’ll do blood work.

Hello all to be new mums
I just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced brown discharge in early pregnancy
I’m 5 weeks had a internal physical examination on Friday as well as an ultrasound to rule out eptopic ( thankfully sac was seen in uterus) but now I’m having this to worry about
Doctor says it’s either early miscarriage signs or it could be old blood only to go a&E if I get savers pain or more bleeding then a normal period so hoping some of you ladies maybe able to shed some light on this subject
Thanks I’m advance for any replies

Onekidnoclue · 06/07/2020 19:40

@Annu786 hi. How stressful. I’ve had old blood in my pants whenever I’ve had an internal exam, what a delight! Blush
With DS I had almost normal period like bleeding at about 5-6 weeks. Was sure he was a goner but nope, he was fine. If it gets heavier then do go to a&e or your gp and get a referral for another scan. Good luck. X

Thanks you for that
Did you have the brown blood straight after your internal Or sometime after
Mine was Friday and I seen the brown stuff only today

Vicky2212 · 06/07/2020 20:30

@Annu786 I'm currently just over 14 weeks and have had several bouts of brown discharge from 6 weeks onwards. I've been told old implantation blood making its way out, also it could just be my cervix - this was checked and all ok. I've had 2 previous miscarriages at different stages, one MMC, both had a lot of brown but stayed continuously. This time it came and went. Also I've had more nausea this time. Fingers crossed for you.

Annu786 · 06/07/2020 20:33

Sorry to hear about previous miscarriages
And congratulations on this pregnancy
I had brown discharge around 4pm and haven’t had anything since
Lot of people are saying it could be implantation bleeding but I had my implantation bleeding on day of my period was same as today
So frustrating just not knowing

Annu786 · 06/07/2020 20:34

Someone on another forum mentioned 2 implantation bleeding = twins
Can anyone related to this at all guys

Vicky2212 · 06/07/2020 20:38

@Annu786 thank you. I was the same, had implantation spotting close to when period was due but then had this brown too. I've had 3 early scans because of it and everything was ok. From about 7 weeks I believe the EPU will scan you to check so would be worth speaking to them if it continues.

Vicky2212 · 06/07/2020 20:40

@Annu786 sorry just saw you had a scan. I think they said about 7 weeks to me to check for heartbeat.

Annu786 · 06/07/2020 20:41

I had a scan just gone Friday to rule out eptopic and luckily sac was in uterus but too early to see the yolk sac so the have called me back in a fortnight
Waiting game till then 😕

Vicky2212 · 06/07/2020 20:44

@Annu786 fingers crossedSmile
