@Onekidnoclue because I went in to hospital for scan due to reduced movements for second time and they said baby had stopped growing and time to come out (was only day before due date). I didn't have time to process or research it etc but didn't want to act against medical advice. I had pessary which was fine but have friends similar to your experience which didn't sound much fun either!

pineapplejuice20 · 07/07/2020 14:28

@Annu786 I had thrush allll the time when I was pregnant with my little girl. And it caused me both pink and brown discharge so I wouldn't worry too much just keep an eye on it! But always remember brown = old. It's bright red blood you need to worry about 😊

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 15:10

Thank you
I planned this pregnancy after 18years so I’m nervous at every little twitch and when I seen the brown discharge my heart stopped 😔
Do you have symptoms with your thrush I have none but it’s the internal swap that’s picked it up 🤷‍♀️
Also what did you take for it Iv been advised to go pharmacy and buy something over the counter

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 15:13

That’s really good
Which hospital is that at plz

pineapplejuice20 · 07/07/2020 15:20

@Annu786 I didn't have any symptoms no I only found out when the hospital took swabs as I had the spotting! But looking back I used to also get a lot of creamy discharge (tmi but this is my experience) and they gave me a pessary to put inside it always cleared up almost straight away, but I had it about 4/5 times in my pregnancy. But it's totally normal to get thrush a lot in pregnancy I found a lot of girls had it!

That’s reassuring to hear
I dont have any or recall any creamy discharge however I have felt pain during sexual intercourse and I’ve read that’s one of the symptoms
When you took the medication did your brown discharge stop ? Until the next time

Just had my 12 week scan! Baby was not very co-operative, was asleep at first so I needed to have a wee to wake him up, then kept stretching to make the sonographer's life difficult! Heard the heartbeat though and was measuring a few days ahead of my dates, so my due date is now 13th Jan instead of the 15th. NT was 2.15 - I've read conflicting things online, some say that's just about average and others say it's the upper end of normal 😕 Going to try and put it out of my mind and hope the phone doesn't ring in the next few days... Always something to worry about!

nchristie · 07/07/2020 16:44

Just back from my follow up scan. NT higher today - now 5.4mm, but they didn't adjust risk calculation for Down Syndrome (which was 1/33 based on last week's NT measurement and bloods). Sonographer suspects there may be a cardiac abnormality so will book us in for a scan with a heart specialist in a few weeks. I've given my blood sample for NIPT, so hopefully will know either way on Down Syndrome in a week.

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 16:48

I was told my son (17 years ago) was slightly underweight and when he popped out he was a 9lb wooppperr These things they can sometimes get wrong try not to worry

There’s a heart beat and he is looking healthy so I’d say that’s lots of positives

Good luck 😊😊😊

Annu786 · 07/07/2020 16:49

Hope everything goes ok for you 🤞

MissHoney85 · 07/07/2020 16:55

@nchristie I'm sorry to hear that. Everything crossed that you hear back quickly and it's something manageable 🙏

Onekidnoclue · 07/07/2020 17:00

@nchristie I’m so sorry. How stressful. I know there’s a big chance everything is fine but it must be difficult just waiting to find out. Sending lots of love and luck. X

I'm sorry to hear that @nchristie. Just keep reminding yourself that it's only 3% chance of downs, which means a whopping 97% chance of baby being absolutely fine.
I've heard of NT measurements going back down too. Hold tight, fingers crossed for you. 💐
I'm in a similar boat. Stay positive.

Today’s the day me and my partner are going for our private scan. It’s not till 5pm and I am so nervous. He keeps cracking jokes like I wonder how many are in there because of my huge bloated belly. I just want to see a little baby and hear the heartbeat 💓

Annu786 · 08/07/2020 08:20

All the best 🥰

@Tink2020 Good luck - I was overjoyed to see my little bubba yesterday - its a lovely feeling
Let us know how you get on x

SnookyPook · 08/07/2020 10:40

Just had my scan!! Healthy baby! So relieved! I burst into tears on the sonographer Grin just waiting for all the others bits now with bloods etc. Babba had a hand up by their face so all the pics look like they have a massive nose Grin haha. Measuring 11+5 so due date just moved along one day to 22nd Jan. All feeling a bit more real now! Good look to you others with scans coming up. Xx

SnookyPook · 08/07/2020 10:42

@Tink2020 men are weird... my hubby thought it greatly amusing to say yesterday, “I know it would be sad but it would also be hilarious if you go and they say there’s no baby and you’re just getting fat” followed by manic giggles HmmGrin

Dia12 · 08/07/2020 10:44

Ah congrats on your successful scans @SnookyPook and @Lauraha85. It's a lovely feeling 💕

Good luck with your scan later today @Tink2020 is this your first scan?

Tink2020 · 08/07/2020 10:47

Yes it is @dia12. Got my hospital one on the 21st x

@SnookyPook he keeps making jokes about how hard it’s going to be for ‘me’ to carry and look after multiple babies... he will get the shock of his life if there is more than one now 😂
