Oh good yes I'm well thank you, I have a right wriggler he just doesn't stop and I seem to have my sickness back on an off which is a bit crap

WhoUsedMyName · 12/09/2020 10:32

I don't understand I haven't muted or hidden the thread but this one just doesn't come up anymore weird

angelascott · 14/09/2020 15:51

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on for a while, just been super busy. Had my 20 week scan just over a week ago and all went well but baby wouldn't move for the sonographer to see the last tiny bit of his spine so have to have a rescan on Thursday.

Started with a cold yesterday and feeling crappy which makes me anxious and worried that maybe I'm not feeling baby move as much or that something is wrong... Don't know why I feel this way. No other issues apart from the cold. Glad everyone's scans went well and ur all doing well x

SnookyPook · 14/09/2020 17:30

@angelascott sorry you’re feeling crappy! I’m sure baby is fine though. From my understanding, movement at this stage can still be very sporadic (I’m still only feeling little bubbles and flutters but nothing in a regular pattern). Glad your scan went well! For the rescan, consider eating a sweet before you go in. I did before my 20wk and it maybe worked too well as baby was wriggling so much they had to keep revisiting things to measure during moments of calm 😂 however they did see everything they needed to. Anyway, it’s nice that you will have that reassurance of seeing Bubba again!

On the movement thing, baby seems to react every time I eat - anyone else noticed this? He must like the rush of blood sugar! Not much else to report at the moment! Feeling ok. Bit tired. Also eating less/slower at meals. Can’t seem to get the same amount in as I used to 🤪 Waking once/twice a night for the toilet but sleeping ok apart from that. How is everyone else getting on? X

angelascott · 14/09/2020 17:35

@SnookyPook thank you, I checked my scan notes and it says my placenta is anterior so guessing that may also be why I don't feel him move all the time.

Yeah the sonographer had me doing star jumps, eating chocolate and drinking coke amongst many dif positions on the table. Xx

SharonR88 · 15/09/2020 10:40

Hi has everyone had the whooping cough yet? I'm booked in to go tomorrow il be 21weeks 4 days is that too soon?

angelascott · 15/09/2020 11:10

I'm booked in for next week I will be 22+4 but they said that was earliest they could get me in x

I believe anytime after 16 weeks is OK x

SnookyPook · 15/09/2020 20:05

@SharonR88 I had mine at my 20wk scan (was 20+3) - all fine! My arm was a bit achey and heavy feeling for a few days after but other than that it was uneventful. ☺️

@angelascott yeah super common not to feel much very early if you have an anterior placenta. I’m sure all is fine.

Tink2020 · 17/09/2020 15:07

We are having a babymoon this week, a few days in Devon to relax x
My other half has got so protective (it’s really sweet) and I know he can’t wait to feel the kicks. I have an anterior placenta and getting the odd side and low kicks after meals and in the evening xx
Glad everyone is ok x

SnookyPook · 17/09/2020 16:03

@Tink2020 oh that sounds lovely! We both have a week off end of October and hoping we might manage a little Babymoon somewhere! Hope you have a lovely time in Devon! My hubby is being very sweet too - lovely feeling 🥰

Tink2020 · 17/09/2020 16:08

@SnookyPook my partner has time off in October and November too (I’m still off work) but he wants to go away whilst I can still do a decent amount of comfortable walking lol x

Opelbow · 17/09/2020 17:52

I'm on my baby moon to Smile we are in Bath. I saw at least to other couples at the Roman baths on Babymoons to.

Onekidnoclue · 18/09/2020 10:56

How is everyone? I’m foul! 🤣🤣🤣 just can’t get comfortable and it’s making me grumpy. Need to pee all the time and can’t sleep on my stomach as I usually do so keep rolling in the night which wakes up the baby and I get a protest kick or wakes husband or cat who are equally grumpy!!! Rant over and tbh I shouldn’t moan as I actually love feeling the kicks! 23 weeks today. We’ve passed the halfway point!

Tink2020 · 18/09/2020 11:28

I’m 21 weeks now, it definitely feels real now x
Sorry you are not sleeping well, do you have a pregnancy pillow. I haven’t got one yet but think I’m going to get one as I’m getting back and hip pain x
Getting a bit stressed today as my work keep changing their minds on whether I have to go back or not. I’ve been off the whole time and they want me to go back on flexi furlough working different hours each week...

PollyOaks · 18/09/2020 11:35

@Onekidnoclue I am very uncomfortable too I have changed mattresses, bought mattress toppers, got pregnancy pillows just not sleeping well and baby seems to kick and roll around all night and all morning and all afternoon 🙈 I hope he sleeps a little more when he's here 😂 glad to feel him though as I was worried not so long ago about not feeling movement. Just waiting for hubby to be able to feel him too!

We are having a baby moon next weekend in Liverpool if Boris doesn't end up locking us all down again!

SnookyPook · 18/09/2020 13:46

I’m 22wks today! Is anyone else still not feeling baby loads? I do feel him but it’s very sporadic still and nothing like the amount some of you seem to be describing! Also no-one has felt him on the outside yet. I don’t have an anterior placenta so it’s not that. I know they are all different and he was super healthy at the scan so I’m sure it’s fine, it’s just one of those things you hear other Mum’s talking about and can’t help comparing a bit!

Other than that, doing pretty well I think. Gradually sinking in that I’ll have a son! I keep looking at little boys and even men and thinking “I’m growing one of those!” 😂 I don’t know how different I’d be feeling if it was a girl but for some reason it feels a bit more daunting to be having a boy - not in a negative way but just feels a bit more alien - I guess because I’m not one 😝

Onekidnoclue · 19/09/2020 08:20

The kicks I feel are very sporadic and haven’t been felt on the outside. I think with him being round 2 I’ve got much bigger faster and he’s got a lot of space to play! Well that’s what I’m telling myself, the enormous belly could just be chips and fruitella 🤭😳

Anyone else getting damp patches in their underwear? Just mentioned it to my sister and she's freaked me out about amniotic fluid.. It has been happening just over a week now and it tends to be just one wet patch the size of a 50p and then nothing after it.. Doesn't smell like wee or anything really

luckymumtobe · 19/09/2020 17:17

Hello all, first time mum due in January Smile

I’m 23+1 and been getting some pains above my bump, maybe around my belly button and up. Does anyone know what it might be? Is it just growing/stretching pains? I’ve had the under bump ones for a while too but the higher pains are new.

I work in quite a physically demanding job, on my feet all day running around, so I wonder if it’s just that? Is it that I need to rest more?

Onekidnoclue · 20/09/2020 09:37

@PollyOaks I would guess wee or very runny discharge. If you’re worried the hospital or MW can check if it is amniotic fluid, think there’s a protein they check for in the liquid so can be sure.
I thought my waters had gone with DS1. Rushed to hospital and they said I just had a load of runny discharge! Not my best moment! I also know plenty of mums who have thought their waters went and it was just unsmelly wee!

@luckymumtobe hi! Congratulations on your baby! I think I’m 23+1 too.
I ache all over! This is round 2 for me and I’ve popped out quite a lot and look huge. I think it’s everything straining. Also this baby had sharp elbows so I know if he’s uncomfortable as I get a jab. I think you get more stretching pain the first time as it’s a bit of a shock for your body. Plus at this stage the baby is the size where I think position makes a bit of a difference. They might just have decided they’d rather hang out in your rib cage than your pelvis!

@PollyOaks I think unfortunately this is another delightful experience of pregnancy. Lots of things I’ve read say that an increase in discharge is normal and is your vaginas way of keeping clean and infection free. I have noticed some discharge throughout and this last week feel like it has gone up a notch (currently 22+2). I have started wearing a panty liner to keep things more comfortable. I think leaking amniotic fluid from what I understand would be more ‘gushing’ ?! All I know is at my scan 2 weeks ago they said amniotic fluid looked normal/fine. Anyway, I haven’t been worried so far but guess I will keep an eye on it...
