@Tink2020 will be thinking of you on Thursday - make sure you update us 😊 Hopefully all is fine and little one is thriving in there! ❤️

PollyOaks · 08/09/2020 00:40

@MissHoney85 ohhh I have been having similar feelings low down and like something nudges my bladder maybe like a pulsing/rolling pressure feeling like you described low down that lasts a few seconds? I thought baby would be higher up by now. Have they mentioned a 32 week scan to you to see if your placenta has moved at all?

MissHoney85 · 08/09/2020 07:41

@PollyOaks no, they didn't mention the anterior placenta at all actually - I only found out from looking at my scan notes afterwards!

footprintsintheslow · 08/09/2020 08:03

@MissHoney85 is it anterior high? Or anterior low?

MissHoney85 · 08/09/2020 08:49

@footprintsintheslow anterior high

footprintsintheslow · 08/09/2020 14:14

@MissHoney85 same as me. They don't seem concerned about it as it's out of the way.

Tink2020 · 08/09/2020 14:28

Thank you @SnookyPook, will keep you updated x

MissHoney85 · 08/09/2020 14:31

@footprintsintheslow yes I figured it was probably not a big problem as they didn't bother to mention it. It does make sense of why I'm not feeling a lot of movement though.

Tink2020 · 09/09/2020 10:44

Got to hear the heartbeat for the first time at my consultant appointment today. She found it straight away. Feel much more positive now x

blueskiesandapples · 09/09/2020 16:10

I've been lurking for a bit. It's so lovely to hear your stories of scans. I've got mine on Friday and been trying to distract myself so I'm not worrying about it as I have been so, so, sick. I've not put any weight on or felt it move so I'm really worried! Was anyone else the same? X

SnookyPook · 09/09/2020 18:03

@Tink2020 aw fab! That must have given you a boost before tomorrow! Still not heard a heartbeat for mine, but have seen the heart beating at least! 🤪

@blueskiesandapples I think nerves come with the territory before the 20wk scan! I am only just beginning to be fairly certain that some of the bubbly pokey feelings I’m feeling are definitely the baby. For a long time it was easily confusable with gas! I’m also not really sure how much weight I’ve put on as not closely monitoring that! But my bump is expanding a bit now and the baby was bang on average at our scan on Monday. Hopefully your little one is doing just great too 😊

Tink2020 · 10/09/2020 10:59

Had my scan, all is well with baby. No issues whatsoever but they did say I’ve got an anterior placenta but I’ve been feeling movements for two weeks now x
The baby was being stubborn in terms of seeing the gender and the sonographer said ‘all I can see is there is no boy bits showing but I can’t confirm that’. Not sure whether we will book a gender scan to be sure. Was convinced I was having a boy x

Pogmella · 10/09/2020 13:28

I’ve just had an invite to a smear test (ooo how glam!) I called them to rsvp and let them know I’m nearlys and the lady said she’d reschedule it. She said it’s standard to wait until 8 days after birth and i cheerily thanked her- now I’m off the phone that sounds awful, does she mean 8 weeks surely?!

Pogmella · 10/09/2020 13:28

*nearly 20 wks

SnookyPook · 10/09/2020 13:37

@Tink2020 ah that’s great that all was healthy with Bubba! 🥳

Hehe obviously wanted to remain a mystery baby for a while! Frustrating though if you were hoping to know! At least there is the option of a private gender Scan if you want. How would you feel if it is a girl after all then?

SnookyPook · 10/09/2020 13:42

@Pogmella haha! I had a smear invite too and pretty sure I was told to wait and rearrange for 2 months after birth... either that or 2 weeks. Either way I remember thinking “I won’t be rushing that call!” I don’t imagine it would be the nicest experience so soon after birthing a child!

Tink2020 · 10/09/2020 13:51

@SnookyPook, I will be fine either way. Thinking of waiting four weeks or so and getting a Private growth scan with gender check so me and my OH can see together and I can see more x

Tink2020 · 10/09/2020 13:56

@Pogmella, I’m lucky, had mine in January

Pogmella · 10/09/2020 14:44

Ok I’m sure she must have mid spoke and meant 8 weeks. This is DC2 and after a very chilled complication free birth last time there’s still no way I’d want to see a speculum a week later...

footprintsintheslow · 10/09/2020 19:09

@Pogmella I believe you have to wait 12 weeks post pregnancy/miscarriage for a smear otherwise you can get a false result.

I lost this group! How are you all

SnookyPook · 10/09/2020 21:06

@WhoUsedMyName - thought you’d been quiet for a while! Good here thanks! How are you doing?

Tink2020 · 11/09/2020 08:56

Hi @WhoUsedMyName, hope you are well
