@WhoUsedMyName aww hugs! I’m doing ok today but yesterday evening I had a full on pregnant lady sob with tears steaming down my face and all sorts 😂

footprintsintheslow · 20/08/2020 14:43

@Tink2020 yes mine says 4-6 weeks for bloods

Lilo08 · 20/08/2020 20:17

Hi everyone. I’m 17 weeks and have achy hips which I feel when walking or if I have been on my feet too long. Feeling this for a few days now. I feel it’s a little early for that.
Anyone else experience the same?

footprintsintheslow · 20/08/2020 20:19

I had the 20 week scan and everything is fine and healthy. Such a bloody relief as our 20 week scan was where we had the worst news last time.

We did ask not be told the sex and the sonography right accidentally said "he" twice. I don't blame her at all as it must be very difficult once you've seen what you can't under. Plus when she gave us the photo I think the writing is on the wall😂.

I'm kicking myself now as I was too polite to ask her either way as I didn't want to highlight her slip up.

What does everyone think? Boy?

@Lilo08 everything is shifting and stretching and loosening up down there so I imagine it's all normal.

Lilo08 · 20/08/2020 20:32

@footprintsintheslow thank you. Was starting to worry. Yoga might be a good idea
I’m terrible with scan pics but feel I can see something

WhoUsedMyName · 20/08/2020 21:23

@SnookyPook thanks hun right back at ya! Glad it isn't just me x

WhoUsedMyName · 20/08/2020 21:25

Aww gorgeous scan @footprintsintheslow I'm gonna say boy too x

Tink2020 · 20/08/2020 21:58

Yeah I think baba is a boy 😂😂😂

SnookyPook · 20/08/2020 22:11

@footprintsintheslow aw great pic! I’m rubbish at interpreting them! Only thing I’ve heard is apparently sonographers often use either s/he out of preference and it doesn’t always mean that’s what you’ve got..? Saw a similar discussion on another forum where someone hadn’t wanted to know and there were lots of replies saying that. Either way, glad Babba was healthy!! 🥰

angelascott · 21/08/2020 13:45

Hi all, I'm now 17+5 days and it's been ages since I last commented due to hyperemesis and busy life with two Foster boys I've struggled to find much time. I hope u are all well and babies are growing nicely.

I woke this morning with pain in my left side upper back, spoke to midwife and gp who think maybe a water infection but possibly just slept funny... Hit me worried so much so that I cried lots and still feel really sad.
I just wish I knew that my baby was OK, we did have private scan at 16 weeks and we are having a little boy but it feels like forever away to our 20 week scan on 4th Sept xx

Onekidnoclue · 21/08/2020 18:45

@angelascott welcome to the blue team 💙
How shitty that you’re still feeling sick. These gaps between scans are brutal. I really can’t wait for mine on 1 September. Just want a proper check over the little man.
I’m staring to feel some bubbles and tickles I think which is nice. With DS I loved feeling the movements and hope this chap is as obliging with the odd boot in the ribs to check in. X

@Onekidnoclue Aww congrats on team blue, yeah I've been feeling some tickles just near to my belly button which I'm guessing is baby but this is my first time so I wasn't 100%. Had a urine test and nothing come back from that so no news is good news.

Early bed and hope tomorrow is a better day, the time between scans is horrendous as my mind plays overdrive but 2 weeks and I'll see him dancing around on screen again x

WhoUsedMyName · 21/08/2020 20:06

Had my 20 week scan today @angelascott it felt sooo long to wait but it went pretty quick really. They confirmed I'm still on team blue 💙 he kept sucking his thumb which was cute

SnookyPook · 21/08/2020 20:19

@WhoUsedMyName aw glad it went well! Thumb sucking is super cute!

I’m 18wks today! Still no convincing movement yet I don’t think. This wait for the 20wk scan is taking forever! Just want to know how it’s all going in there!!

Hope your back pain is easing @angelascott - doesn’t sound much fun.

Hugs to all!

WhoUsedMyName · 21/08/2020 21:11

@SnookyPook I'm sure you will get movement soon! I think I felt it super early because I have so many dc! Xx

angelascott · 22/08/2020 10:06

@WhoUsedMyName that scan pic is super cute 😍😍.

I can't wait for my scan just to see my boy again. The back ache is easing and defo think it's just to posture/sleep position. X

pigletpie2177 · 22/08/2020 20:18

Ahh @snookypook we have the same due date!

SnookyPook · 22/08/2020 21:42

@pigletpie2177 ooh exciting! I wonder if either of them will actually appear on the right day? 🤷🏼‍♀️😁

pigletpie2177 · 22/08/2020 21:47

@snookypook haha I doubt it. I had a section with my first and have a meeting with the consultant on 11th to discuss vbac v section this time around. DC1 was breech so I wasn't given an option last time. Is your 20wk scan on 4th or thereabouts?

Any views on the vbac v section issue much appreciated! I wanted a water birth last time and I've been told I can't have that due to previous section which makes me less inclined towards vbac - plus scheduling something seems like a bonus when we have toddler to arrange childcare for!

SnookyPook · 22/08/2020 22:10

@pigletpie2177 20wk scan is on the 7th! Getting impatient!

pigletpie2177 · 22/08/2020 22:16

@snookypook yeah I bet. I didn't get my "12 week" scan until I was 14+4 so doesn't actually feel that long ago, but looking forward to going again. Be nice if DH can come this time but not holding my breath!

PollyOaks · 23/08/2020 14:46

I'm 19wks and still not feeling movement it is my first so I may just not notice it but I had my iron levels re checked Friday and the midwife had a listen to heartbeat which was reassuring and she said she could hear my placenta and thinks it may be front facing which will make it harder to feel movements. Has anyone else had this before?

MissHoney85 · 23/08/2020 17:29

Lovely to see so many beautiful 20 week scan pics. I have mine on Friday, I'm so nervous for it. It's my first time and I just have this feeling like something has to go wrong... Trying to think positive though and focus on other things. I'm feeling the odd burst of movement which is reassuring when it happens, but then can have a day or more of quiet in between which is a bit disconcerting.

pigletpie2177 · 23/08/2020 17:31

Hi Polly my placenta was at the front last pregnancy and is again this time around. My first time I don't remember feeling anything until maybe 22 weeks ish. This time I'm maybe a bit more aware of what to look out for and I've felt the odd thing at 18 wk. It didn't stop them being able to hear the heartbeat or cause any problems for me last time around x
