Oh now how awful I'm normally really brave 😩🤣 but it's was bad! Well it is they asked for my exemption certificate but they just seem so overly keen to have me 🤔

ttcchapter1 · 30/07/2020 02:03

Hii all

I've posted on the previous threads but not as regular. Due 22 Jan had my 12 week scan at 14 weeks 😂 last week!

15 weeks now and am i the only one finding it difficult to get comfortable at night before sleeping? And really sore nipples not all the time but occasionally?

Any tips on both?

footprintsintheslow · 30/07/2020 06:43

@ttcchapter1 no advice but I'm not sleeping well either so sympathy for you. X

Tink2020 · 30/07/2020 11:30

Hi everyone. Hope you are all ok x
I’m 14 weeks now and starting to get energy back with only the odd rough day which is better. Glad the pregnancy is public now as my bump is very noticeable and has hardened this past week. Trying to persuade the other half to have a private gender scan in two weeks because I really don’t want to wait another 6 🤣

Tink2020 · 30/07/2020 11:31

I’m sleeping ok in terms of comfort as we have an amazing Tempur mattress. But I’m having the most vivid dreams x

Opelbow · 30/07/2020 12:56

I'm 15 weeks pregnant today. I've started getting bsck ache. I start pregnancy yoga tonight over zoom I'm hoping that will help.

WhoUsedMyName · 30/07/2020 12:59

@ttcchapter1 my nipples are bad! Mostly the left 🤔 sometimes they feel like there burning

SnookyPook · 30/07/2020 14:35

I’ve found a pregnancy yoga video on YouTube that’s quite good. Not looked into any classes though.

I’m sleeping pretty well but also having very vivid dreams! Not really had an energy surge yet - am sleeping and sleeping! Hubby put me to bed at 20.30 last night after I fell asleep on sofa and I slept through until 7am!!

lydiangel83 · 30/07/2020 21:53

@ttcchapter1 my birthday is your due date :) I'm not sleeping due to nausea and needing a wee. Am 14 + 2 and was hoping to be feeling better by now. I am a bit worried it is a function of my PAPP-A being low that means I will feel like this for a long time more!

ttcchapter1 · 30/07/2020 23:39

@lydiangel83 awww! Well lets see if im a lucky one who actually gives birth on her due date 😂

Yeah my nausea stopped at around 11 weeks but I have had a few days here and there recently where I've had it!

ttcchapter1 · 30/07/2020 23:40

@WhoUsedMyName omg yes last night my right nipple was burning and i only had a tshirt on and it was still sooo sensitive

h1987 · 31/07/2020 01:29

Hi all! Newbie here. So nice to see such a positive supportive bunch of people all helping eachother out :)

Almost 14 weeks nausea a little bit better but the fatigue is so not shaking off. Especially after a meal I feel I have to go lie down...any tips on keeping energy levels up ? When I'm at work I'm nice and focused it's when I come home i tend to get a bit flat...

Wishing you all good health during these testing times

Rexodus · 31/07/2020 07:47

Hey all! Im due jan 13th and honestly i have never been more of a hypocondriact until now - im so worried about this baby, its my first and I have IC and believed to be infertile before conceiving so I'm always so obsessed with making sure everything is okay for our surprise little miracle!
Im not really having many pregnancy symptoms now im 16w 2d, haven't felt anything move, and feel really bad as some of you women are battling through symptoms here and I'm feeling fit as a fiddle! Make me worried a little that somethings up with the little one, but I just gotta keep thinking I'm overthinking!

H1987: when I was feeling that way during my first trimester, mostly what i did was have a bit of fruit - the sugar tended to giveme a little boost! However if you're finding stuff like that not helpiing, if you can nap maybe try napping for 20 minutes at a time - I found that as my sweet spot for amount of time to sleep without feeling too groggy!

Onekidnoclue · 31/07/2020 08:07

Hello newbies! So good to have more mums to be in our club!
I think this is a hard but for us worriers. Can’t feel movement, symptoms are usually gone and there’s the dreaded abnormally scan on the horizon. I’m definitely anxious! Plus it’s shit figure wise as I just look fat! Mat clothes look silly and normal clothes make me look ridiculous. Not exactly a crisis but not ideal!

I said to a nurse actually that I’m usually one of those that’s very ‘everything happens for a reason’ and relaxed in most situations. But since this I can’t help but jump to worst case scenario conclusions and get worked up about things. She told me it’s completely normal, but unfortunately we never stop worrying!

blueskiesandapples · 31/07/2020 09:15

@h1987 I'm 14+4 and had horrible nausea and sickness until they put me on drugs. I found the cat napping really helped, even just going to lay down for 20 mins. Rest was key as I wasn't getting much food in me so I'd no energy. Also fruit juice or an ice lolly helped.

@Onekidnoclue I've just ordered some maternity leggings and shorts for that reason! I don't think I'm showing but my tummy is bloated so things aren't comfortable to wear. Hoping even if I have to fold the waistband over to start with they will help rather than the odd mishmash of clothes I've been wearing haha.

h1987 · 31/07/2020 09:18

Thanks for the tips. I think I'm making the mistake of dragging a power nap into a full on sleep for hours like you've never slept before kind of nap.. will try to be more disciplined and get up after 20 mins and see how it goes !

WhoUsedMyName · 31/07/2020 12:36

I am huge 🐘🤰🏼! I'm not a small person anyway but bump wise I'm enormous Im very envious that you all fit in your clothes 😩🐷

Hello Newbies! Nice to have more Mum’s joining us!

I finally caved and ordered some Maternity clothes last week. They arrived a couple of days ago and the jeans in particular are soooo comfy! Funnily enough, the day I started wearing them, family were all saying I’d ‘popped’ - my Sis reckons it’s because my tummy was finally able to relax rather than tense into my old clothes. I still think I’m a bit more bloat than bump but there is definitely the beginnings now as there is a little bump even first thing in the morning.

SnookyPook · 31/07/2020 16:09

My mini bump at 15wks today! 😁

@WhoUsedMyName - love that dress! Also love the bump! We’re pregnant, we might as well look it! Grin

WhoUsedMyName · 31/07/2020 19:02

@SnookyPook oh look at you 😍 so cute.

footprintsintheslow · 31/07/2020 19:44

A total stranger asked me when I was due yesterday so I obviously look pregnant.

I've still got maternity clothes from my first born 21 years ago! Luckily they are timeless classic as I have a denim pinafore and denim dungarees so will be in those when it's cooler.
I did get a pair of maternity shorts from eBay which has made life much better.

lydiangel83 · 31/07/2020 22:09

I don't fit in my maternity clothes from last time! They were lovely but I was so much slimmer than I am now! Darn second pregnancy lol!

I wanted to throw in a comment/ advice for the fellow Jan 2021 mum's to be.
I'm a dentist and with this being my first pregnancy I was naturally interested to see how much midwives put emphasis on taking care of your oral health during pregnancy. Im not far into pregnancy but I would have thought a bit more awareness would be raised.

As a dentist who has worked both in NHS and private sector i was always so concerned when pregnant mothers come in to see so late in their pregnancies and have left dental and gum problems far too late. Hormonal changes do mean you're more likely to get gum problems if your oral hygiene is not at it's best. And there's a common misconception that the baby "sucks calcium from your teeth" which I hear so often...the baby doesn't I assure you, it's the lifestyle changes that happen during pregnancy that give our teeth the biggest stress.

Please please ladies 🙏 do go see your dentist. most dental problems are 100% prevebtable. If you're on an NHS list you would get free check ups and most clinically indicated treatments for free. ..

If you're private patient then please see it as a good investment in your health. Your general well-being generally starts from the mouth

I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has as my little way for public service

Best wishes
(Please brush twice a day and floss like a boss)
