@Onekidnoclue Might HR be approachable? Line managers often aren't very well informed on rights and responsibilities when it comes to health matters and HR can help diffuse things and make it a more comfortable working environment. Obviously it's going to vary company to company so you'll need to make your own judgement call.

Thanks but no. They’re dire! Incompetent and insistent they know the rules - last time I had a massive battle to be allowed to work until my due date and get my pension contributions through mat leave.
Tbh it’s not that bad. I’m ok with what is and isn’t illegal and I don’t think they’ll sack me (last time my line manager was awful and I thought he was going to force me out). I think this boss just won’t be supportive but I’m just going to have to be clear on what I want, make sure 100% I’m entitled to it and then crack on!

@Onekidnoclue that sounds very frustrating, but also sounds like you know what you need to do.

lydiangel83 · 27/07/2020 16:25

Hi ladies - not been on for a while but at 14+1 the headaches agave started as I can see have with others. I'm interviewing for temp work at the moment so this is not ideal as really want to earn money before bubba arrives!

Have piled on weight due to first trimester nausea so was hoping to get a bit fitter in second trimester! Don't think that'll be happening tho!

Finally an most importantly have had a low Papp-a result meaning potential late pregnancy loss and small baby and other horrible risks. Has anyone else had this?

lydiangel83 · 27/07/2020 16:26

@SharonR88 just seen your Papp-a note what was your score? Mine is 0.31 and they told me to take 75mg daily.

Has anyone else had this?

SnookyPook · 27/07/2020 16:42

Is anyone else unsure what their Papp-a results were? I didn’t even know this was a thing until seeing the comments on here. I don’t think I had a Papp-a score reported to me? Is it something they only provide if it’s problematic?

lydiangel83 · 27/07/2020 17:30

@SnookyPook I think only reported if an issue x

nchristie · 27/07/2020 18:19

@SnookyPook I didn't get my Papp-A until I asked to see it at a follow up appointment. You could always ask the midwives next time you talk to them.

SnookyPook · 27/07/2020 21:07

@nchristie - thanks. Will have my 16wk phone call soon so may ask then if I remember!

Hi, I too have just had the harmony/NIPT test yesterday, I’m 13 weeks and 4 days. I decided I want to know but appreciate some have conflicting thoughts. Will also get to know the sex which is very exciting!

On another note is anyone else craving sweets. I’ve been terrible with pick n mix!

Onekidnoclue · 28/07/2020 20:54

Hi @Bartonbaby1 exciting! And yes. I want ALL THE SWEETS ALL THE TIME. I ate a whole bag of tangfastics today 😳

SnookyPook · 29/07/2020 10:20

@WhoUsedMyName haha that made me chuckle. Congrats on a boy! Still another 6 weeks until I find out! Don’t really mind either way though - just curious! 😁

I’m finding cheese more alluring than sweets... 🧀👍🏼

Bartonbaby1 · 29/07/2020 19:39

Ha glad to hear it’s not just me. It’s a good job I have a dentist appointment booked 😋

Onekidnoclue · 29/07/2020 19:51

Oh gawd. I’m to scared to go to the dentist. My teeth are shocking and one is moving about 🤢🤢 need to woman up and book an appointment. Or I could just crack on with the haribo and replace all my gnashers with a perfect set on dentures 😬

OP posts:
WhoUsedMyName · 29/07/2020 20:24

@Onekidnoclue don't 😓 I've been to the dentist 3 times since being pregnant they have removed the same filling twice and replaced a silver then a white then I had an old filing replaced and I don't no why I wasn't in any pain I went due to needing a new mouth guard then they keep asking me back all 3 times after having injections I've had the shakes so bad they've had to stop and I've cried and left a mess I told my husband I'm never going back it's be an awful experience. Do they get more money from pregnant people why can't they leave me be 🤣🤣

Onekidnoclue · 29/07/2020 20:49

@WhoUsedMyName that’s terrible! I normally make mine give me Valium to get me in the chair. Not sure that’s ok when knocked up. Last time I felt tough and they said no to drugs and I ended up laid out on the floor having a panic attack when they were only part way through counting the teeth 🤦‍♀️😳.
I thought dentistry was supposed to be free when pregnant anyway?
