I have some old wireless soft bras that have been a god send. My bump is still quite soft but definitely there x

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 11:09

@Tink2020 ah lucky you with the bras I'll have to go out this week and grab one, yea I do look big and alot of my clothes aren't fitting just something especially in the morning it feels softer,
Is anyone suffering from back ache or just achy in general? I've notice the start of this week a new symptom for me

Tink2020 · 13/07/2020 11:12

Definitely have back pain on and off, had it for a few weeks now. Seems to depend on what I have done that day or the day before. Very achy today

Xiomara22 · 13/07/2020 11:18

@Sazzy312 I work on the tools and since coming off furlough I've been aching so much in the evening way more than I usually would.

Due to coronavirus I feel like I'm lacking on the support front , I'm a first time mum, I thought there would be classes to go to to learn various things and assumed they'd go online now but I have no idea how to find out about these things. I've got a few books but the further I get into them the more terrified I get and also terrified I'm missing out of key info that I need to know throughout my pregnancy and to get ready for birth. Confused anyone else feeling similar?

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 11:35

@Tink2020 how many weeks are you now? Im loosing track of everyone lol yea I'm achy today but when I get up and more around I feel a bit better :)
@Xiomara22 oh don't worry, how many weeks are you? No I find there isn't much 'help' around thats why I'm always on here lol the best thing is to talk to women about their pregnancy and us lot who's at the similar time to you :) I've just booked a hypnobirthing course as I was slightly worried about labour especially if hubby can't be there all the time, so I'm looking forward to that course and having the support from the teacher she does yoga too and it includes 4 free yoga sessions :) but until then I do feel slightly alone and crossing all my fingers baby is ok and I get to the 20 week scan alright x

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 11:38

Thanks for the bra tip @Opelbow I definitely need something.
I’m back in my mat jeans which is loads more comfy but I now look pretty pregnant which isn’t ideal as we still haven’t actually told people. At this stage I’m starting to think I’ll just get so huge they notice and I won’t have to mention it.

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 11:42

@Xiomara22 what kind of things were you hoping to learn? I did Nct first time round. It was nice to meet people but literally no useful information. Normally there are nhs classes which are lots more practical than the Nct ones (what happens in labour, what to pack in hospital bag, what baby’s poos look like etc).

Xiomara22 · 13/07/2020 11:49

@Onekidnoclue @Sazzy312 I'm 13 weeks this week. I'm not quite sure what I was hoping to learn but I just seem to hear things or read things on here and think what else don't I know about the whole process.

Also where on earth do you start with prams Shockthere's so many variations and packages!

Opelbow · 13/07/2020 11:57

@Xiomara22 I'm starting to feel baffled my prams. Not even sure where you can go shopping for them. I've only seen them in John Lewis.

When I thought about having a baby I always imagined going to a baby show. But I don't think they will happen this year now.

I think at John Lewis you can book a chat with someone. I guess take they advice then look for the best deals.

Emma diary app always has deals.

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 11:58

@Xiomara22 Oh yea prams well I'm gonna go to john Lewis and test drive a few lol but I have no idea whats best, I don't think anyone does you just have to read up on different models ask friends/ family or other mums and make a decision, I was reading yesterday on a site what you need for a new born, which was handy to have a list but half of it I didnt even know about lol so I'm still learning

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 12:11

Sorry last post was for @Opelbow

WhoUsedMyName · 13/07/2020 12:30

One warning when buying prams think boot space! Because I've done this with an I candy before and had to put the base in the boot and the seat in the front seat then you lose a chair not ideal

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 12:45

@WhoUsedMyName ooh good point, I wouldnt of thought of that! No not idea to lose a seat

WhoUsedMyName · 13/07/2020 12:49

@Sazzy312 when they sell it to you they will sell the fact you don't have to take the whole unit out because the car seat adapts straight onto the frame but I feel that's dangerous sales because baby shouldn't stay in car seat long x

Dragon82 · 13/07/2020 12:59

Hi all, scan tomorrow at 11am. Feeling fairly relaxed as had an NHS early scan due to bleeding and saw baby with strong heartbeat so trying not to worry. Bit nervous about chromosomal abnormalities as I’m 37 but just trying to not think about it. Pretty sure OH can’t attend tomorrow but will call early tomorrow to see if my hospital is one that has relaxed rules. It’s baby number one for me and I’m 13 weeks tomorrow (according to 8 week scan).

I got nursing bra from M&S as only shop open a few weeks ago, wasn’t allowed to try on. I thought if I buy nursing bra it reduces need to buy that when/if bf. Beginning to get a little snug now so think that was a bit naive! Blush

Tink2020 · 13/07/2020 13:12

@Sazzy312 I am 12 weeks on Wednesday, got my hospital scan next Tuesday x

@Xiomara22, I feel the same. Luckily have told a few of my close friends who have children and they are trying to help with tips x
We hardly have any shops near us to see things before you buy them :-(

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 13:24

@WhoUsedMyName right I will double check when looking for one then, and no the baby can't be in the car seat for too long
@Dragon82 good luck for your scan tomorrow, every hospital is different so worth asking before you go whether OH can attend, I did that in a previous pregnancy got the bra in a similar size to what I am but out grew it in weeks lol this time I will get a least a size up

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 13:36

@Xiomara22 @Opelbow @Sazzy312
Delegate peaks to your OH if you have one. It’s a total brain fuck and I couldn’t be arsed to engage. The only think you need to check is if you can lift it into the boot and fold it up. We were going to get an icandy but I found it impossible to fold, I had a full on wobble in John Lewis that I was retarded and completely incapable of looking after a tiny human as after twenty minutes and multiple demos I still couldn’t do it! If I see someone pushing an icandy I think they must be an engineering genius!

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 13:37

Tits! I meant to say “delegate prams” ☝️

OP posts:
123Phi · 13/07/2020 14:36

Hey everyone! @Onekidnoclue I don’t think I could delegate prams to mine - he’d pick the first one he saw or anything with a cartoon dinosaur on haha - I might let him do some research though, he’s so excited

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 14:59

@Onekidnoclue aw bless you, just obviously not your day im sure you'll be a whizz kid at it when you've selected the right one, Im quite excited to have a look at whats on offer as I need one to do city and woodlands so that will be tricky to find, its such a shame mothercare has gone

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 16:13

@Sazzy312 we got an uppababy vista which is good for both, it is big and heavy though. I’ve borrowed a friends city jogger too which is execellent and probably what I’d buy if I were on the lookout now.

Hey ladies! I am such a worrier and even though everything was fine at my 12 week scan (currently 13+5) can't help but worry as for the last week I have felt almost pretty much normal apart from a small bump of what I assume to be bloat lol.. Please tell me this is quite normal? Feels too good to be true and starting to slightly worry...

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 18:00

@Pollyoaks it’s totally normal! The second trimester is usually so good, you feel normal but everyone is extra nice to you! Try to enjoy it!

OP posts:
PollyOaks · 13/07/2020 18:23

@Onekidnoclue thank you! I've had 4 scans already due to a mmc last time so you would think I would be reassured by now but everytime something changes I panic again!
