@Tink2020 I've got a litre water bottle, its got a straw thing which helps me with the sickness, but I'm just making sure I have that with me at all times. It helps because it's so big so I don't need to keep getting up and refilling.

Opelbow · 10/07/2020 15:06

Has anyone stopped feeling tired yet?

12 weeks today SmileSmile

Just want enough energy to do the housework properly.

Seeker2020 · 10/07/2020 16:05

@Tink2020 is it a flavour thing? You could try watermelon if you don't fancy drinking all the time?

@opelbow - I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and feeling tired all the time, though a bit more human. I guess everyone is different...how are you feeling generally? Xx

Opelbow · 10/07/2020 16:16

@Seeker2020 generally I feel okay I think due to working from home. Just feb up of being too tired to do anything. I'm so excited to be 12 weeks today. My scan is on Thursday, it feels like it's been a long wait to see the baby.

I'm still a bit tired at nearly 15 weeks and now I think im getting round ligament pain 🙃 didn't know you could get so many aches and pains during pregnancy

Opelbow · 10/07/2020 18:02

@Sazzy312 ah yes I also have aches and pains.

SnookyPook · 10/07/2020 18:05

@Opelbow congratulations! I’m 12wks today too! I thought I’d had a bit more energy the last couple of days but been zonked today and just woken from an hours sleep!

Anyone else been told they have a retroverted uterus? Sonographer mentioned it at my scan. Apparently makes no difference to childbirth etc but @Sazzy312 she said I might get more round ligament pain until bump appears.

Sazzy312 · 10/07/2020 20:00

@Opelbow ah good to know someone else is experiencing aches and pains, apparently my mum didn't feel a thing so I kinda feel not normal lol
@SnookyPook ooh not heard of a retroverted uterus,
I don't mind having the aches and pain as I assume its all the stretching just after a few early miscarriages I'm always slightly on edge I could be loosing it 😔 but I'm trying to keep positive and enjoy this magical experience

Opelbow · 10/07/2020 20:02

@Sazzy312 ha my mum was exactly the same when I told her. She was like I'm not sure about aches and pains. Heartburn was her problem.

Sazzy312 · 10/07/2020 20:17

@Opelbow haha I wonder if that generation notice things as much as we do, thankfully I don't have more heartburn just sickness and now trapped wind 🤭

WhoUsedMyName · 12/07/2020 10:44

Morning ladies how is everyone feeling?
I'm 14weeks today Grin2nd trimester finally. I'm feeling so much better energy levels are so much better still getting the odd sickness and headache though but I'm ok with that if the rest is alright lol.
Haven't had anymore bleeding so I'm praying now it's a smooth ride x

Tink2020 · 12/07/2020 11:18

Glad things are getting easier for you xx
I am managing longer walks, trying to get my fitness levels back up. Also eating more which is helping with my headaches and dizziness x

WhoUsedMyName · 12/07/2020 12:13

Glad to here that @Tink2020 you just turn a corner and it's amazing to feel human 🤣xx

Opelbow · 12/07/2020 15:18

Just completed my first bike ride since BFP. I used to go a couple of times a week. This feels like a great achievement.

I got rumbled by next door ... they took in a parcel for me ... on the outside it said pregnancy pillow ...Blush

Onekidnoclue · 12/07/2020 16:57

@Opelbow busted! Glad you’ve been feeling better and able to get back on your bike.

Hi All! Feeling good thanks. Still riding a positive from the scan and finally being able to tell everyone our news!

Is anyone else on aspirin for pre-eclampsia risk? My sister had it and had a C-section at 35wks because of it so apparently I’m slightly higher risk. Seems weird that a tiny aspirin each day reduces the risk! We’re lucky to be having our babies in a developed country in modern times I guess! Crazy to think of all the women over the centuries going through this but with only a fraction of the knowledge and medical care that we get!

Dspx · 13/07/2020 08:19

@SnookyPook I am on asprin daily due to my mum having it with both me and my sister I’m on 150mg a day it is crazy to think that something so small can help so much.

SnookyPook · 13/07/2020 09:02

@Dspx ah cool. I’m only on 75mg. Just started it after the 12wk scan. Hope all goes well for you and no problems. They seem pretty confident it will prevent it.

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 09:25

Morning all, nice to hear some of you getting your energy back, mine is better too just feeling achy today so gonna have a sofa day, can anyone recommend a maternity bra? Or even when to start wearing one? My breast are definitely more tender now and I feel like the wire in my normal bras are digging in

WhoUsedMyName · 13/07/2020 09:26

Ooh ladies with the aspirin is this somthing you decided or the midwife, I haven't had it in any of my pregnancy's but nor has my friend and she still got pre eclampsia with her 3rd. Should I start ?

Onekidnoclue · 13/07/2020 10:00

I’m lost on the bra front too. I’ve got tragically small boobs normally and am only up to a c or a d now so think I’ll try to get a couple of those crop top bralette things rather than proper maternity bras. But then I’m unlikely to be able to bf so not fussed about getting a proper one with access flaps.

I went for these from amazon as my bras got too tight and with working from home I don't need too much support. They are 3 for £20. They are quite pretty and I thought good value for money.

Now I'm getting out more I might get probably fitted and by 1 or 2 more supportive bras.

But these ones have certainly be comfortable.

Tink2020 · 13/07/2020 10:23

My boobs haven’t grown yet ... they swell occasionally and one is bigger than the other lol x

Sazzy312 · 13/07/2020 10:50

Ok thanks for advice, its hard to know what to do and yes @Opelbow least now the shops are opening could maybe go get fitted for one properly, @Onekidnoclue sounds good to get those bralette, I don't want to end up with getting loads if boobs keep changing but I don't even have a soft bra so I thought I'll just get one and see how long it last me @Tink2020 maybe yours will grow later in pregnancy, we all change at different points :) I keep looking at my bump and thinking its still a bit soft but then it shouldn't be rock hard yet haha
