How to deal with bloated stomach

How do I alleviate a bloated stomach? I can't fit in my normal jeans after eating anything. Is there anything I can do to alleviate bloating or should I just give up and buy maternity trousers?

I'm only 12 weeks and have lost 7 lb during the first trimester due to not wanting to eat then maintained since then so I know it's not just too many biscuits Grin.

Not much you can do unfortunately OP, it's just a common side effect of pregnancy.
I was in baggy clothes with elasticated waists and loose dresses by then as my jeans felt so uncomfortable.
I think it was week 14 onwards when the bloat started to be replaced by an actual tiny bump.

Plenty of water OP and just invest in a decent pair of maternity leggings! They are worth their weight in gold!
My bloat was so bad first trimester I took colpermin to help as I was in agony with it! I was huge by the end of the day! It was awful!
Do check with your GP or pharmacist before you take any tablets! Don't just think you can take them as they may not be suitable for you
