Hand hold bleeding

Ladies I need positive vibes. This afternoon I went to the toilet and when I wiped there was some pink blood (I hope it looked more cause mixed with urine) I phone DAU and cause I'm only 13+5 they won't see me but if it continues or I get any cramping to call GP to get referred to EPU.
well every time I've been to the toilet since then (about 6 times) I've had the same, in one was a tiny clot (a little stringy bit not so much a lump) and had a little cramping.
I'm now really worried, they can't get me into EPU until tomorrow now but they said if it gets worse then to go to A&E..
I was worried before about anything going wrong and now I'm even more worried! 😔
What's annoyed me (about myself) is we told family yesterday and now if anything happens I'm going to have to tell everyone I've lost them 😭😭

@emma911030 I had bleeding at 13 weeks with my first! It was heartbreaking after seeing her on the 12 week scan! Went to EPU for another scan and now shes almost 4 😊 xx

GrannyBags · 30/06/2020 17:03

No advice but here for positive thoughts and hand holding

27andcounting · 30/06/2020 17:56

So sorry I haven't got any advice 😔 holding your hand through this though x

emma911030 · 30/06/2020 18:00

Thank you both.
@HMJCMUM that's positive to know. I don't know if I maybe have a UTI as at the end of a wee it stings so bad I had to brace for it. And have been a lot this afternoon but I don't think I've been drinking enough 😔 so I'm preying it's maybe only that. I'm expecting twins so am being scanned every two weeks so would be scanned again next Thursday anyway but only saw them last Thursday and they were looking really good (so they told me, I really can't tell in an ultrasound!) I appreciate your comment a lot and will TRY not too get too worked up and worried x

Is the blood coming from your vagina? With a severe UTI, you'll see blood in your urine.

If you have a UTI, it needs treating ASAP as it can cause pregnancy complications. I'd ask to be seen tonight.

jennyt82 · 30/06/2020 18:04

I bled in two of my pregnancies at 12 weeks and in another at 13 weeks. They're aged 10 and 7 now!!!

BabyB19 · 30/06/2020 18:20

I've had a MMC and am currently 32 weeks, I bled more in this pregnancy than I did in the failed pregnancy, so it's definitely not always an indication of something being wrong. It is such a worry though and you won't settle until you know for sure. Good luck keep up posted x

12345ct · 30/06/2020 18:27

I've had spotting that turned into bleeding after 12 weeks and unfortunately it didn't end well for me but I hope everything is fine for you it can be normal for some pregnancies. X

emma911030 · 30/06/2020 19:40

Thank you all for your kind words.
@ShowOfHands it's only when I wipe and I've put a pad in and there isn't any coming out in between urine. I told the lady at DAU that it was when I had been for a wee but she was adamant that they couldn't see me cause of the gestation. But that it's not normally something to worry about too much at this point only to go A&E if it gets worse. I have been drinking lots this afternoon as I have had a thought is it's something to do with UTI as I know I haven't drank enough the last two days as not been feeling great. By the time the gp phoned me back the EPU had closed for the day 😔 x

I would ask if the out of hours doctor can check your urine to rule for Uti tonight. Take care.

Butterbeeeen · 30/06/2020 20:01

OP I have had a UTI which caused bleeding and small clots it is possible it is just that. Either way I would phone 111 and get seen in an urgent care centre or go to A&E so they can check. I’d be more concerned about a UTI in pregnancy than spotting if I’m totally honest.

Marybird · 30/06/2020 20:04

I’m 12 weeks and have had EXACTLY the same thing for 5 days now...even the stinging! I was scanned on Friday at EPU and they said I had a small bleed in my womb, no where near the baby...they told me not to worry and that so many women experience this. I hope this helps! I’m still worried, it’s so horrible to see blood isn’t it? I have my 12 week scan on Thursday so I’m just hoping for the best... good luck, get a referral to an EPU to put your mind at rest xx

HeeeeyDuggee · 30/06/2020 20:11

I had bleeding in all my Healthy pregnancies and now have 3 babies so it doesn’t always mean bad news. I had spotting / bleeding on wiping daily with ds2 and most weeks with DD. With DS2 I had a massive red blood gushing bleed at 14 weeks due to low placenta.

Unfortunately DAU won’t see you in my area until your 20’weeks before that it’s the EPI who unfortunately run 9-5 but in my area they open the phone lines 8:30 and are really good at calling back women who leave messages

SpillTheTeaa · 30/06/2020 20:35

Keep drinking plenty and it could even be thrush OP. Sometimes pink discharge can be normal. I had bright red blood heaving bleeding at 12 weeks. I was heartbroken. Went for a private scan and saw my perfect boy for the first time. They couldn't find a reason for the bleeding but mentioned it sometimes does happen with no real cause. DS is 11 months now Smile

SpillTheTeaa · 30/06/2020 20:36

Heavy

coffeeorwine · 30/06/2020 21:16

Just wanted to come on and say I had an episode of heavy bleeding at 13/14 weeks and some on off light bleeding at 17/18 weeks. Baby is kicking away and we’re currently at 28 weeks. Try to get some rest if you can and remain positive. Sending lots of hand holds, I know it’s horrible X

emma911030 · 02/07/2020 08:07

Thank you all for your lovely messages. I went to EPU and they scanned me, both babies are doing absolutely fine and have grown what seems like lots in the last week compared to my 13 week scan. I was/am so relieved! Not 100% sure where bleeding was coming from but it's sorted it's self out and touch wood were doing good now. I've never been so worried! But thankful that I was lucky that it wasn't anything serious. I've just been and dropped my son at nursery until this afternoon so I'm going to have a well needed sleep! Stay safe x
