Induction

Hi ladies

Looking for some advice. The consultant wants to bring my induction forward a week due to a number of reduced movement episodes so I'd be 38w1d. The previous date was when I was 39w
I'm quite comfortable with an induction as the docs have previously said because of my age and ivf process it's better for the baby and reduces the probability of still birth just wondering if 38w1 was too early.

Anything over 37 weeks is concerned full term so 38 weeks is absolutely fine. Good luck x

Yup, anything over 37 weeks is fine.
I was induced the day I turned 37 weeks due to several medical complications. DS is fine.

I was induced at 37+2 for reduced movements and had a very healthy little girl! The consider from 37 weeks as full term, the say 37-38 weeks is early term, 39-40 weeks as term and 41-42 as late term!

Early term is not considered a premie at all! Their lungs are fully developed and they are ready for the outside world!
