Help advice please

Hi ladies I found out I was pregnant on the 2nd off may I have had 3 previous miscarriage s last one in March! I had severe pain for 1 week just knew it was a miscarriage had big clots brown and red blood and carried on bleeding I went for a scan on the 25th June and she saw a baby but no heartbeat or grown and it was saying I was 6 weeks i was then sent home! Have to go for another scan tomorrow to see if anything has changed if not I need to have the tablet inserted I’ve carried on bleeding since going to the hospital pink and brown etc is there a chance at all that things could be okay am litually sending my self crazy thinking could I have my dates wrong etc.. can a heartbeat not be detected at 6 weeks?? Please help one sad mummy! Already have 3 healthy boys but just keep having miscarriage s just want things to be okay xx

I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. I had a missed miscarriage in January, they scanned me at 10 weeks and the baby died at 8weeks old. I think the scans are pretty accurate and normally a heartbeat can be detected by week 5. They normally scan you twice as they need two separate people to confirm the miscarriage I think it is standard procedure. I'd hate to give you false hope. Wishing you all the best xxx

I’m in a group where there were a few ladies who didn’t see a heart beat, babies dates measured smaller than they were and at the follow up scan heartbeats were seen and baby had grown.
Sometimes it can be tricky to see a heart beat before 7weeks.

Unfortunately back in December it wasn’t meant to be for me and baby didn’t grow in between scans... but that doesn’t mean it will be the same for you.

I have stopped bleeding completely now it’s been half a day since! I have no pregnancy symptoms at all now but nothing has left my body just that bit off blood no clots etc, fingers are crossed for tomorrow it’s so heartbreaking and when it’s been took away from you 4 times now it’s soul destroying am so sorry for your loss! How do you get through it I am so full of emotions 😞 xxx

I do I have so much support it’s unreal u not ready realise who’s there till u need them the most and I’ve had so much support today it’s unreall! And my partner is amazing xxx

I had a early scan was meant to be 9 weeks this week dated 6 weeks last week no growth 🙁 went back this week had scan same happened had tablet inserted currently sat on toilet letting it all go 🙁 xxx

@Firevie I went for my first scan thinking I was 7 weeks turned out I was 5 weeks I then had another scan 2 weeks later which then showed a heart beat I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant xx

@fluffies congratulations! I’m really pleased for you! I went in for my 12w Scan this week only to be told I was 6w1d. I’ve been asked to come back for a scan in a week or two. Obv there is a huge difference between 12w and 6w. The only hope I can cling to is that my periods have been v irregular this year with v long cycles (up to 54 days). And if I look at it from when I think I may have conceived then 6/7w sounds more likely but who knows. I am just driving myself nuts waiting, hoping and praying. Guess this is why I joined here to find some hope also. Xxx

Good Morning everyone - well it hasn’t been good for me. When I woke up and went to pee, I wiped and saw I was bleeding. I guess I now know what this means. The EPU said they’d call me on Tuesday to see if I’ve had any bleeding. If yes, they’d ask me to retake pregnancy test in a week or so but don’t they have to give you options for next steps? I’m trying to make sense of this and the only way I can carry on is by focusing on next steps. So, if anyone has any advice that’d be greatly appreciated. Also, do you put a pad into your slip when you’re bleeding? Apologies for the ignorance.

Hi @Firevie, I'm sorry to hear this has happened. It doesn't alway mean a miscarriage. With my DD I had a pelvic haematoma presented at 9-10 weeks (which is internal bleeding caused by the pregnancy) and bled quite a bit. Is it fresh Frank blood? (Meaning very red and pinky) or is it looking more like old blood -brownish? If it is old blood it could be this. I'm surprised they haven't got you in to check you over and offer a scan. It's like more and more people are just being left without the support. Sending you lots of love. X

Hi @Sash887 it looked like fresh blood. Since then I’ve been to the toilet once and nothing. I have a cal with EPU on Tuesday as they needed to check up on me as there was a massive gap in dates. I know blood doesn’t have to mean anything but I’m preparing for the worst....
