Just wondering.
They had a special offer on a Quinny Buzz package (Pushchair, carrycot & Maxi Cosy carseat)so I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. They were waiting for a new delivery to arrive, so I'm still waiting for my order to arrive.
Geting a bit panicky now as I'm 36+2 and am having nightmares about the baby arriving before my pram order!

Hi I ordered an easy base car seat unit to go with my cabrio car seat a week ago and still nothing yet. Every time I check status it just says "pending" I notice they've taken my money already though!! It does say they normally take 7 days if in stock, so I'm guessing they're waiting for more to come in as bargain price. Sorry can't give you any more reasurance than that, hope it turns up soon and good luck with the birth.

Eaglebird · 26/09/2007 22:19

Mellymooks.
I'm also waiting for an Easy Base seat unit, as well as the Quinny Buzz package.
My order also shows 'pending'.
I emailed them this afternoon to find out when I can expect my goods, but no reply as yet. I'll let you know what they say when I get a reply.

We had the same issue with a carseat - waited 3 weeks and finally got bored and asked for a refund and got it elsewhere. Ver poor customer service imo. Also they have a shop near here that did have the carseat but they wouldn't let us come in and pick one up. Good luck with getting your stuff, and keep phoning and hassling them or you won't get anywhere.

I've tried ringing several times this morning and a fax kept answering. Just tried again & got a recorded message saying that, due to high volume of calls, I should email my query and they will aim to respond within 6 hours.
I've already emailed twice yesterday, but no reply as yet. Will try emailing again. Not very happy with the customer service.

I'm really sorry you're going through all this, keep fighting and bombard them with phone calls. We eventually found out that they only have a couple of staff and seem to advertise and take money for stock they don't actually have. When we did get to talk to a human being they were actually quite polite and did refund us the money no problems.

Eaglebird · 28/09/2007 09:30

I received an email yesterday afternoon saying they are looking into my order and will respond asap. No further response as yet.
Before I received that email I had sent another email to them saying that I wanted to cancel my order if I wasn't going to receive my goods in 7 days.
Hopefully I'll receive my goods within the next 7 days. I'll not be ordering anything else from them though.

I eventually canceled my order after three weeks waiting for it. Web site has been showing my order as pending with no more information. Numerous phone calls to the web site numbers remained unanswered and the staff in stores was not able to help. Beautiful web site but I am afraid there is nothing behind.

Eaglebird · 29/09/2007 09:55

I don't know what to do. I'm getting in a flap about this now. I've tried ringing them, but get no reply then a fax eventually answers. I emailed them again yesterday and sent a fax yesterday, but still no-one has responded.
I only want to know if I'll receive my goods soon and, if not, I want to cancel my order & get a refund, but no-one answers the phone & no-one responds to my emails.

Can anyone help by reccommending another online supplier who can deliver the following items to me quickly:
Quinny Buzz pushchair (black)
Quinny Dreami carrycot (black)
Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat (black)
Maxi Cosi Easyfix car seat base
Thanks.

Eaglebird · 29/09/2007 10:46

Thanks for your replies. I've tried ringing babies247 again but a fax keeps answering again. I've just sent an urgent email to them, complaining about the poor service and saying if they cannot respond & guarantee to deliver my order by 4th October I want to cancel it and have the money refunded. I think that is quite reasonable, would you agree?

God I'm so stressed about this. I woke up at 4am this morning (for a wee) but couldn't get back to sleep. I kept worrying that the baby would come early and I'd have no car seat to bring it home from hospital in, and no carrycot for it to sleep in (our bedroom is too small for a cot so baby is going to have to sleep in the carrycot until he/she goes into a big cot in his/her own room).
I hope they don't ignore my email. I don't want to go out and buy a pushchair & carrycot etc from BabiesRus, and then babies247 sends out my order after I've asked them to cancel it, so I end up with 2 pushchairs /carrycots etc...
Aaaaaaaargh, sorry, pregnancy hormones are getting the better of me

mellymooks · 29/09/2007 19:34

Oh honey I totally understand it is really stressful but you've done all you can for now. I got quinny buzz pram/carrycot/carseat from lilliput.com and they delivered within 3 days excellent service, the only reason I didn't get the easy fix bit from them was because it was so much cheaper on the babies247 site but wish I had just got from them now.
Try not to let it all get to you, you need to look after yourself and stay calm for you both. Hope it all sorts itself out soon, I think we'll be cancelling our order with them too.....

Eaglebird · 29/09/2007 20:07

I've emailed Mothercare, and they've replied to say they have everything I want in stock, with delivery within 5 days. So if Babies247 don't deliver my order by 4th October I will order it from Mothercare. I've also asked them to check if my local Mothercare branch has it in stock and, if so, I'll go and buy it in person rather than wait for it to be delivered.
I feel happier now. I certainly shan't be recommending Babies247 to anyone. (Am I allowed to say that on here?)

Hi, I've been having the same exact problem as everyone else. Ordered the Quinny Buzz system 3 weeks ago today and my order still sits as "pending." They charged me 3 weeks ago, and emailed me twice with false delivery dates. I have since taken to calling the Southampton store and driving them mad every day. I would suggest that everyone else do the same. The store number is on the website....I am applying to my credit card company for a refund today and have just bought the same package from somewhere else, for only £10 more.

berrybliss · 07/10/2007 18:39

I was just about to order my Quinny buzz travel system. from babies 247 but have reading this thread has made me make a u turn! Klaani can you please tell me where you got your travel system from for £10 more? and did it arrive when stated? thankyou for your help.

ScottishMummy · 08/10/2007 08:37

i had problems with babies247 - order took weeks to process, eventually they cancelled me. and i looked elsewhere

"Lookey at baby world"found them really good with stock display status so you know if it is avail and 5% discount if you join as a member

hth

mellymooks · 09/10/2007 10:47

I have also got fed up waiting for my order and have asked for my money back. Hope they refund soon as need to use that cash to order elsewhere - what a pain this is!!

mellymooks · 09/10/2007 16:04

Well they have already responded and are refunding my money. Have found the easy base on babykit.co.uk for 58.99, ordered it last night and they sent an email this morning to say it's been dispatched!! what a difference in service!

Eaglebird · 10/10/2007 12:59

I'm still waiting for them to respond to my numerous e-mails. I got so fed up I contacted my credit card company on Monday and asked them to help me get a refund. They got in touch with Babies 247 and were assured that someone from Babies 247 would ring me yesterday (they didn't ring) to arrange a refund.
I emailed them agaain yesterday, but still no response. I'm going to try ringing them soon.
I've since ordered the goods I wanted from Mothercare, and they were delivered 2 days after I ordered them.

Eaglebird · 10/10/2007 13:06

I've just rang Babies 247 and someone answered, which has never happened before. I was so surprised when someone answered that I forgot what I was ringing about

I have asked for a refund, and they say it will be sorted this afternoon or tomorrow, and they will email me to confirm my money has been refunded. Hooray, looks like they are getting their act together.
However, I'm afraid I won't be ordering anything from them in the future as my experience from this order has put me off.

berrybliss · 10/10/2007 16:46

I ordered my Quinny travel system from baby world and it arrived 2 days later, would reconmend them (also cheaper than mothercare)

mellymooks · 23/10/2007 12:00

Finally got my refund!! So unimpressed with this company, thank goodness there are lots of better ones out there. Will def. never use them again!

Eaglebird · 23/10/2007 13:48

I'm still waiting for my refund . I checked the status of my order, and it shows 'cancelled' which it has done since last week, and which is right, but I'm still waiting for my refund. I sent several e-mails last week, and spoke to someone on a couple of occasions. I also spoke to someone yesterday, and she assured me my refund would be processed yesterday or today. I've heard that same line so many times!
However, I got an email from them today, asking me for a contact phone number (which they already have on my order) so they can call me to discuss my refund. Hopefully I'll get my refund today, and will never have to deal with that sh*tty company ever again.

Found this thread after thinking 'I wonder if anyone else is having the same problems as me'. Placed an order worth £56 5 weeks ago. They took the money straight away OBVIOUSLY. Status on website is marked dispached but still no goods. I reckon they have gone bust and am kissing goodbye to my £56 grrrrrr.
Will post an update if the goods arrive but am not holding my breath!
