Hi Ladies, Hope you are all doing well and safe...so I am due in August and with all the restrictions being eased down etc, I wanted to ask about restrictions to bring in partners for labour/post delivery... what's the situation? I'ts my first baby and i don't want to be all alone...ughhh
Also what is the Edinburgh/scotland hospitals like? in terms of labor etc

You will be able to have one birthing partner, it’s likely they’ll still test for CV, and if they have symptoms of CV you may need to change birth partner. The situation may be very different by then xx

I dont know where these routers have come from as I am hearing it everywhere but honestly the covid test is fine! It's just a cotton bud up your nose that at worst will make your eyes water a bit, and then a cotton bud in your throat that at worst will make you gag a little bit. They're totally fine and over in seconds and not painful at all in my experience. I had one yesterday as admitted to antenatal ward.

And even if it was painful, it 10000% is nowhere near as painful as labour, so you probably wouldnt even notice it anyway!
