Hi ladies
Thanks for helping of you can. I’m scheduled for an elective section at NHS Queen Charlotte’s in a few weeks (on a Thursday). I really didn’t want a caesarean and I’m quite nervous. It’s bothering me that I’ve never met my surgeon or anaesthetist. I don’t even know who they’ll be. I spoke to my midwife but she didn’t seem to know who operates on Thursdays because she’s on the birth centre and doesn’t really see them that much.
Has anyone had an elective section on a Thursday at Queen Charlotte’s - if so who was your surgeon or anaesthetist?
I know sometimes things can change at the last minute with illness or shift swaps, but just wanting to feel as prepared as possible. Would really reassure me to have an idea of who it even might be!
