Did your baby measure small at 28 weeks and go on to be big at birth?

Hi all, I had a growth scan at 28 weeks as my bump hadn't grown as much as they thought it should, and so they wanted to check the baby. Turns out baby is within the 'normal' parameters but measuring on the 27th percentile. I know these scans can often be inaccurate but wanted to see if anyone else had gone from having a smaller sized baby at this stage to then having a baby on the 'larger' end of the scale by birth? Not worried really, just curious! 😊 xx

I measured 29 weeks at 32 weeks

Dr was worried because I measured 28 weeks at 28 weeks so it represented poor growth

Anyway had scan which showed 75% percentile and she was born on due date weighing 7.4 lb!

50% percentile I mean

Oh wow! Did they say they why they thought they had measured you that size? X

The measurements over the bump were accurate it was more than I carried lower

All depends how baby lies too and how strong your stomach muscles are

They weren’t worried at all and it was the consultant who scanned me

I had a scan at 28 weeks and baby was measuring small (as they expected) so I had a scan every 3 weeks to check growth. By the end it was measuring big so I needed to be monitored during labour as a result. And they were pretty accurate with their measurements. They weren’t concerned when baby was measuring small - just said they would keep an eye And could be induced early of they stopped growing.

This one measured small at 28w on the 3rd percentile. We have a growth scan on Weds (32w) and hoping its grown, it definitely feels like it has.

@1ce1cebaby oh so interesting! I'm actually going to have another scan at the end of next week so will be interested to see how he has grown x

@Amichelle84 good luck with the next scan! X
