Positive ovulation test with period

Hi ladies, I’m looking for some help. My last period was on the 3rd of may so I am 24 days late, last week I took a test and got a strong second line, 2days later I tested again and nothing, I rang my doctor to get advice and was told I couldn’t come in for a blood test to just give it a week to see if a period came . I decided to get ovulation tests on Wednesday (24th) and have tested positive for 4days , but today the line was starting to fade however I have just started to bleed like a period has this happened anyone before?
I’ve had cells removed from my cervix twice before and was told I would need a stitch put in around 8 weeks so this has me worried if I was pregnant. I miss carried in March at 7 weeks after trying for a year.

Any help would be very appreciated. X

Sorry you’re going through this. Does sound a little like an early miscarriage - I’d say don’t use the OPKs to substitute for pregnancy tests though, it’s not really what they’re designed for.
Also wanted to add that the cerclage doesn’t have to be done at 8 weeks - it doesn’t prevent early miscarriage and in fact can make matters a bit more complicated should there be a miscarriage for another reason. Where I am it’s typical to do these “history indicated” cerclage s at 12-14 weeks, after the 12 week scan and combined screening result. Just thought that might help in terms of feeling time pressure.

Thanks for your help my thoughts are all over the place as you can imagine. I did read 12-14 weeks but just with my doctor telling me at the time it would be around 8 weeks they would decide.

Yes similar. I started testing late one month so about day 13 onwards and I had 6 days of high ovulation on the day and then my period came shortly after.

So with the ovulation tests - I think they are really only accurate in the window they should be used ie day 7 onwards.

I would now get a pregnancy test - when you have a miscarriage you will still test positive at the point as you are still full of hormones. When you have a miscarriage you need to wait 2-3 weeks after to get a negative and know it was complete.

I hope this helps
