When to head to hospital?

I hate the phrase ‘ you will know’ in regards to heading to hospital in labour.

I’m unsure when to go- my hospital is 1.5 hours away from home.
I had a sweep yesterday as I was having tightenings and cramps lower abdomen already. I was 1-2cm dilated already, cervix soft and thin , midwife could feel baby’s head.

This morning I had my ‘show’ and have gradually lost more and more throughout the day. I have lower abdomen cramps, have had some tightenings that have stopped me in my tracks, lower back pain and some shooting pains in my
Vagina.

I do not wish to drive 1.5 hours to be sent home so I don’t know what I wait for before heading in?

I think so too! Just had my 3rd sweep. Only positive is going from 1cm to 2cm dilated. Xx

Check with the hospital and make sure they know how far away you are . My hospital told me to come in when my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and a minute in length. But my hospital is 2 miles from my house so I was pretty relaxed about leaving it to the last minute . If I was 1.5 hours away I would have started the drive when contractions were 3 minutes apart exactly. But it also depends how quickly things were progressing. If labour was progressing quick I would leave earlier ! Good luck !!!!!!

Haha she’s not making any signs of coming other than on off cramping throughout the day!
I’ve just bathed in clary sage oil and am gonna have a raspberry leaf tea tonight & a curry! I’m trying my best 🤦🏽‍♀️

Don't bother with pineapple.. I had so much it took the roof off the top of my mouth... No effect.

I think you need a nice relaxing massage and romantic evening 🤪
