Has anyone had flaxseed during pregnancy? I was hoping to start having it on cereal and in smoothies, as it's full of good vitamins. But online doesn't say much whether it's safe to have.

Yes my GP recommended it to me. I sprinkle it on my cereal.

I avoided it in pregnancy because of its high vitamin A content.

I have some every day. If its not on the NHS website to avoid, then I assume its ok.

I have some most days too. Hadn't even occurred to me not to! Am 32 weeks now and everything seems good with baby...

I think the recommended portion is 30g so I guess keep it within that amount daily to be safe. X
