Hi

I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!! I gave birth to my little girl at the start of May. I was 7 weeks PP when I took the test.

Could it be left over hormones???
I'm freaking out Shock

Thanks!!

7 weeks PP I would have though is too far to still have pregnancy hormones but I’m certain on that. Have you had unprotected sex? If you have you could well be pregnant again sorry.

Have you had Unprotected sex since you had your daughter? You will know the likelihood of being pregnant again. If not then it’s likely left over hormones from your daughter as it can take months for things to get back to normal

It's very very very unlikley that it is still HCG.

If you've had unprotected sex then yes you could be pregnant . Surely you know this?! Everywhere in the maternity wards were posters saying this and advising contraception . The mw also told me the same thing and so did the health visitor?!

I don't know how to edit my post-

We have had sex a few times but used condoms. I don't think one spilt but I'm worrying in case it did. Hopefully it's left over hormones

I don’t think you would get a positive pregnancy test 7 weeks pp without being pregnant. I would ring your GP and ask.

I don't think it can be left over hormones. I'd get another test with a first morning urine and then speak to your GP.
