Possible Amniotic Band - anyone experienced this

I had a 28 week scan today and they say I may have an amniotic band (have to go back again in 2-3 weeks for another scan with a consultant). It could also be related to the placental bleed I've had but they're not sure at this stage. Anyone else's experience would be useful. Thanks

Hi, I had amniotic bands and had absolutely no problems. I think the midwife told me that there were in fact three bands on my placenta. My placenta was taken away and used for research apparently!!

I have to say that I was totally ignorant during my pregnancy that this had occured so had no chance to think or worry about it so I don't have a lot of advice to give you.

Thanks for your message - it's reassuring to hear you had them and the baby was OK as all the information on the net says the baby can be born with deformed limbs or dead digits etc.
