Guys
I'm 15 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I have had the most disgusting headache since last night. I could just cry and cry. I have had the WORST headaches this week and I just want to sit in a dark corner and cry. I have a history of recurrent miscarriages and this is my first pregnancy with a cerclage. I phoned the hospital and they're saying that it can be because of the heat but honestly something does not feel right every time I vomit it's like my head is rattling. Is there any recommendations from any of you beautiful people out there I am ready to try anything and I will definitely remember this week of my pregnancy for the rest of my life.

I suffered a week long bout of headaches a couple of weeks a go. I am 14+ 4 and still get them but not as bad or constantly. I
My midwife could only say it was hormone related and I needed to drink plenty but I was.
If it helps I used cold ice packs on my forehead and back of my neck ( in a cover or tea towel )
I have them anyway in the freezer for joint pain but you can order them from amazon for £3 ish. It’s a KOOL PAK hot/cold. It helped so much especially over my eyes it was immediate relief. I just had to lay in the dark which was lonely and destroying and I felt so sad and just wanted to cry, sleep helped also.

All I can say is they will pass. I know stress makes them worse so do your best to relax and de stress and they may calm down a bit also.

I hope you feel better soon!

I also really suffered with headaches until 18 weeks. A dark room and something over my eyes was the only thing that helped. I got a blood pressure monitor from Amazon too for peace of mind, but that was always fine.

Yes I get terrible migraines with aura Sad

  • try to take paracetamol as early in the headache as possible
  • try to move around if you can; gentle swaying exercise or walking - I know this sounds crazy when your head is pounding but getting your circulation going can really help
  • drink a lot of fluids
  • eat if you can - the chewing can relieve jaw tension
  • caffeine from tea or coffee or chocolate can help
  • personally I don’t like ice, I like hot showers with the water blasting on my head, neck and even face. It seems to relieve the tension
  • lots and lots of deep breathing. It will probably hurt at first but it’s so important to get more oxygen in

Have you had bloods done recently? Get iron checked as low iron can make thiNhs a worse
