I took a test on Sunday and it was basically impossible to see the line but I did! I’ve been testing everyday since but I am worried about the line progression. I had a Missed miscarriage in January so I guess I’m extra worried this time round. Are you meant to carry on testing or would you stop now?

Tests were taken Monday, Tuesday and today. In the order that they are

They all look like clear positives to me. Congratulations

Maybe take another one in two days just to reassure yourself?

I’ve found there is very little progression at the start which makes sense as if it’s starts at say 20miu it will only be around 40miu 2/3 days later as hcg can take between 48 and 72 hours to double. Also if they are cheap dip tests I’ve had them go stronger and weaker.

I wasn’t getting really strong lines until about 16dpo when my HCG was over 500 just to put it in context. If I was you I’d wait a week and then retest it should be noticeably stronger by then.

I am about 16 dpo now. These tests were 25miu and above, so I guess for nothing to show on Sunday and for it to be getting darker should be a good sign. I just thought they might have been a little darker by now

Those little strip tests always seemed to be pale to me, compared to FRER lines. Didn’t get a strong positive on a cheapy until I was 6 weeks gone and did a panic test. They are all positive though Smile can you get some FRERs, I find them much more comforting?

Step away from the tests! It won't change any outcome but will cost you money and just cause more anxiety!
Do one in a week or so if you really must but testing every day is pointless.
Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.

With those dip tests there can be so much variety in strength of line even from the same packet and same sample, I’m tempted to post a photo I still have from 12dpo with about 8 tests all taken from the same sample (don’t ask Blush) and the variation in strength of line is quite noticeable, some you can’t see a line at all, some it’s barely visible and others it’s clear as day! Confused

Just an update. I ordered some more tests that came yesterday, can’t believe I was patient enough to not test yesterday Grin but here is the test this morning which I am happy with Smile

Congratulations, that is a lovely strong line!

DontStandSoClose · 26/06/2020 16:22

If you’ve tested after your period is due and have a positive test I’d assume you are pregnant. Testing and looking at lines isn’t very scientific, using different brand tests even less so. Looks like you are pregnant, I think you can stop testing.

Mine took ages to come up but everything is happy and healthy at 13 weeks! :-) congratulations 🥳
