Hi everyone, I never used ovulation sticks before..... When is the best time of day to test? x

First thing in the morning is the best time. At least that's when I did it. I found the DB digital were the most accurate and I got pregnant 2 month trying 👍🏻

I was advised NOT to use the first wee in the morning as it can give a false positive. Instead, you should go for your first wee and then try and wait a few hours and then test. I usually do 11am and then 4pm.

I meant CB Digital not DB! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Alpacapicnic1 · 23/06/2020 22:40

Hi OP...it depends which sticks you buy. Some are best to use with first morning sample (like clear blue digital) and some better to use with second morning sample or afternoon sample. It's best to check the instructions in the pack for the sticks you buy! I found CB digital easiest with first morning sample, meant I didn't have to faff about with testing at work. You can use them anytime of the day also I found, so really flexible unlike other brands, but more expensive.

I did around 11am and 7pm with clearblue

Charlie031285 · 27/06/2020 20:43

I was also advised never to use the first morning urine, I used to test at the same time in the afternoon after a 2 hour hold with minimum liquid intake. I used the cheap internet ones and when I got what I thought was a dark enough line I’d use a CB digital and pray for the smiley face, that way there’s no doubting the line x

Hi ladies- i accidentally used pm wee to test using the clearblue 4 days digital ovulation kit and it’s got the peak smiley face. Could this be false? It says in the instructions I read after that can get high results when not using morning wee? Any ideas?

Do you have any other ovulation symptoms? DTD just in case?

ScottishLassie91 · 13/02/2021 22:59

I used them and got pregnant after 6 weeks (1st month had a really short cycle hence why I used them 2nd cycle)
We also DTD every 2nd day throughout the whole month to increase chances and it worked ☺️
Good luck x

I bought a bunch on ebay and would use them throughout the days when I was expected to ovulate. I'd usually get a positive result later in the day though

Should have said sorry, we used CB digital I used first wee of the morning each day x

@Runkle not sure if that was a question for me but yes, had the EWCM yesterday and day before plus sore nipples so i’m guessing test was accurate. Just confusing as was first one i took and not with morning wee
