Just wondering if it's just me not looking into it but I was totally unaware there was such a thing as a 16 week appointment I'm 17 weeks now and haven't been contacted and it has never been mentioned - have I just been an idiot and not looked into it properly? Has everybody had this appointment and how did you find out it was happening?

I was told at my booking in appointment that I would get a phone appointment at 16 weeks. Usually this is done face to face and involves a blood pressure check, urinalysis and sometimes they try and find babies heartbeat for you with a Doppler thing.

I’m nearly 17 weeks and haven’t been contacted yet either! Not sure whether to phone although doubt there is much they can offer at this stage anyway over the phone.

Mine was done by telephone

In some areas it's 16-18 weeks. Where I am you book your 16 week appointment after the dating scan, did you do that? It might be worth ringing the community midwives to check. As pp said 16 week appts are currently over the phone, same with 24 week appts

Mine was pre-covid and I had to ring and book it myself.

I've read that quite a few trusts have cancelled it completely or doing telephone appts only since lockdown though. Can you give your midwife unit a call to check what should happen in your area?

The 16 week appointments are running everywhere. This is from the RCOGs COVID document about antenatal care at the moment www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/guidelines/2020-06-18-guidance-for-antenatal-and-postnatal-services-in-the-evolving-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic.pdf

My midwife booked me in for my 16 week appointment at my booking in app.

Thank you for all the advice, I called the doctors and the midwife will give me a call Friday so I'll see what's happening then :)
